Disney's live action 'Wakker' Remake of Snow White has become one of the worst performing films in the company in recent years, according to the first cash register.
Snow White is entangled as a controversy because of comments from his star Rachel Zegler and the absence of the iconic song 'Someday My Prince Will Come'.
The first results of theaters have been revealed and they are not great.
The film only earned $ 3.5 million in Thursday previews and is expected to earn a disappointing $ 45 to $ 55 million during the opening weekend.
That places the film under Disney's Little Mermaid Remake, who premiered in 2023 and $ 95 million earned during the opening.
Disney's 2019 Dumbo Remake earned $ 2.6 million in previews and benefited a total of $ 45 million during the opening weekend.
However, Dumbo only required $ 170 million to earn, while Snow White cost more than $ 250 million, excluding marketing costs.
Despite the lagging figures, Snow White scored higher than the remake of Disney's Cinderella, which only yielded $ 2.3 million in previews.
The film also did not succeed in impressing critics, who only click on 44 percent on rotten tomatoes.
A review by The Guardian closed the film and called it a 'meaningless new live-action musical' and a 'merch that hires ATM'.

The review also set fire to the costume design of the film and said that Leads Zegler and Gal Gadot “give the most boring versions of their lives.”

The long-awaited release of Snow White comes after years of a media fire storm around the film.
Critics of the remake first jumped on Disney for the decision to cast Zegler in the role because of her Colombian descent.
In the original fairy tale the princess gets her name because her skin is 'as white as snow'.
Zegler said earlier that the story of the origin has changed, and in the new version of Disney the princess deserves the name because of a snowstorm she survived as a child.

The leadership came under fire to criticize the animation of 1937 and called it 'dated' during an interview with Rode Loper with Extra TV in 2022.
'There is a big focus on her love story with a man who literally stalks her. Foreign. So we didn't do that this time, “she said.
“We have a different approach to what I know for sure that many people are assuming that is a love story, just because we cast a man in the movie.”
Zegler eventually declined her comments and fans assured that the love story would be 'integral' for the plot of the remake.
Disney fans then expressed dissatisfaction with Zegler when she said that as a child she was 'scared' of the original version and only saw it once.
Zegler was not the only point of criticism while making the film, because the malignant Queen Gal Gadot of the remake became a subject of recoil for her attitude on the Gaza War.
Gadot, an Israeli resident who also served in the Israeli defense, has been pronounced about her support for the country.
In the meantime, Zegler, on the other hand, expressed her support for freeing Palestine through the occupation of Israel.
Disney's attempts to make the remake more friendly for the 'awake' of the audience have sometimes fallen flat, with actor Peter Dinklage calling the company's hypocrisy in 2022.

The film premiered in Europe in a remote castle in Segovia, Spain, instead of a traditional vast red carpet event.
