At least three people were killed and 16 injured in a horrible massive shooting in New Mexico, the mayor of Las Cruces confirmed.
The massacre took place on Friday around 10 p.m. in the young park of the city.
Mayor Johana Bencomo confirmed the death toll, who was not publicly verified by the police.
“This was a horrible act of violence that will leave our city morning,” said Benco.
The police are working frantically to identify a suspect, without so far arrests.
“Las Cruces Police and fire brigade staff were sent to the reports of rifle fire and possible victims of Scot in the parking lot of Young Park, 850 S. Walnut St,” said the armed forces in a statement.
'Officers arrived and heard of several Scottish victims. Most were transported to local hospitals. Some were transferred to the University Medical Center of El Paso.
'At the moment, the police do not have the number of victims or the extent of their injuries.
