A pensioner who worked as a semi -professional Michael Crawford Lookalike in his younger days has been 'harassed' by debt collectors above a fine of the court that he paid three months ago.
Derek Bird rose, admits, 'quite a lot of' fines for driving 25 km / h in a 20 mph zone.
But after he received only one warning letter in October last year, he received another and said he had been banned for six months to drive and pay £ 450 in fines.
The 76-year-old asked his wife to take him to Willesden Magistrates' Court, where he asked for a hearing and arranged a date.
Mr. Bird said MailOnline: “I all went there suitable and started and I was not seen from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.”
Ater waiting four hours, Mr. Bird warned a Usher who inquired that his name was not even on the list.
“They pressed me for lunch, but when the man read a summary of my case, he called four deferred lawsuits,” said Mr. Bird.
“I had only received one letter, so they wrote the fine of £ 450, brought me loose and gave me three points on my license as long as I attended another hearing.”

The 76-year-old (now depicted) says that he is still being chased by bailiffs for a fine he paid three months ago

The next time he was in court, Mr. Bird said that a magistrate told him that he was in the risk of suspending his permit “unless you can give us a good reason not to do that.”
“I told them that I am my wife's caretaker and I take her to the hospital when she has to go,” said Mr. Bird.
'I get my retirement and do a few strange jobs on the side. I take care of four or five older people, they are in the 80s and I see them every week to do their gardens.
“They asked me if I could go past tube and I said” no ” – I can't take all my tools on the tube.”
His British government medal was then noticed by an employee of the court.
“I got it when I was eighteen for chasing shooters,” said Mr. Bird.
'I went to a disco, but then I followed their car and blocked them in a dead end. They had just robbed a bank.
“It's pretty handy to have the medal!”

Perhaps partly because of his shiny distinction, Mr. Bird's driving ban was officially abolished and he was instructed to pay £ 56.
He fully paid the fine 'immediately' by telephone in December 2024.
But three months later he is still accused by Cdder group collectors of not paying the fine, which has increased to no less than £ 366.
'The bailiffs are going on and I can't get them out. We are now waiting for the door every moment – I am ready to lay a bucket of water over their heads.
“I'm not young. I am 77 this year and I am strong, I can take it, but imagine another pensioner – they would be crazy. '
The colorful retired person posed like a Michael Crawford Lookalike – the actor who is best known for playing Frank Spencer in the 70s Sitcom Some Mothers do 'Ave' em.
And he still offers his services at the birthdays and parties of friends. A common trick of him holds the birthday cake and drops him at the most unimportant moment.
Indeed, Mr. Bird made the front page of the Daily Mail on November 30, 1976, when he was hired by the ex -woman Gabriella of Michael Crawford to introduce himself as her actor husband for a store opening.

A letter written on behalf of Mr Bird by the CTSC that explains his need for the current test

A notification issued to Mr. Bird by Cdde Group Debt Collectors who demand the payment of the fine, now blown up to £ 366
Mr. Bird says that he has visited the court twice to show them the bank statement and proves that he has paid the fine that they recognized.
“They say,” Oh yes we see you paid, “but they don't say that to the bailiffs, there is no communication.
'Bailards must be able to call the court and communicate with them, but everything they know is that they have a live order.
“It's intimidation. I reported it to the police. They said that if bailiffs come around, I should call them and that is what I will do. '
A letter is on behalf of the Mr. Bird written by the CTSC – a Ministry of Justice that supports people with ongoing lawsuits – who sketches his suffering in the current test.
In the hope of a positive result, a challenging MR -Vogel is determined not to be bullied in submission.
After having worked as a GoFer for rock band The Dave Clark Five, 'until I fell out with Dave', Mr. Bird also played for the Showbizz XI – a charity football team formed in the late 1950s, consisting of actors, musicians and young entertainers.
