A teenager from New York was reportedly raped 'more than 30 times' by his female counselor – whose nickname 'Big Foot' is – in an upstate youth prison.
The alleged victim, now 21, was only 17 years old when he was sent to Brookwood Youth Facility in Claverack – about 114 miles from Manhattan – where he met the associature psychologist of the facility, Maya Hayes.
Allegedly Hayes kept 'frequent' counseling sessions with the teenager, whose name has been withheld, in her private office, according to the legal submission of the teenager.
The then-Juvenile victim claimed that sexual abuse started only three months after he arrived in the Claverack facility.
He also claimed that the abuse did not end until he had been raped more than 30 times, according to the court case filed in Brooklyn Federal Court, obtained by the New York Post.
Hayes' used and exploited her position of trust and authority … to her disgusting benefit and her own corrupt benefit … to sexually abuse and exploit as many children as possible under the guise of performing routine and necessary counseling sessions, “the teenager claimed.
The staff of the facility apparently knew what was going on, he claimed.

“Are you doing things with big foot?” Employees reportedly asked the teenager, according to the court application.
'We'll see you there with Dr. Hayes who does annoying things, “they would have told the prosecutor.
It is not clear why Hayes was nicknamed 'Big Foot'.
The suit also claims that Hayes told the teenager that she was dreaming about him, and that she “had a previous man in Brookwood” who looked like the victim and “broke her heart,” the suit claimed.
The counselor has even used the victim's parents to send $ 100 payments to her CashApp, apparently to pay for its food and hygiene products, according to the court case.
The State Police in New York arrested Hayes in April at 65 counts of criminal sexual acts in the third degree and rape.
She did not argue and was released later. Her case remains pending.
The nameless teenager sues Hayes, together with a dozen other Brookwood employees, because of non -specified damage for not stopping the 'corrupt' abuse in a separate civil court case.
“When I was in Brookwood, I was sexually abused for months by my psychologist, while specialists in the field of youth development knew and did nothing to stop,” he said in a statement.
“The responsibility lies with employees of the state of New York who knew that sexual abuse took place and made it possible,” said the teenager's lawyer, Evan Brustein, who represents four other victims who said they were also abused by the counselor.
The burning suit comes just a few days after a married teacher in Illinois, accused of sexual abuse of a teenager she was tutoring, claimed that the boy came to her because she is 'handsome' and 'too much'.
Christina Formella, 30, was arrested on Sunday and accused of sexual violence and abuse for an inappropriate relationship with a then 15-year-old student in December 2023.

Christina Formella, 30, was arrested on Sunday and accused of sexual violence and abuse for an inappropriate relationship with a then 15-year-old student

During her first police interview, Formella once denied having sex with the teenager and claimed that he was coming to her
The boy came forward in the weekend when his mother bought him a new phone and discovered SMS messages between the two.
The shocking reports showed that the student and teacher had had a relationship and researchers said they discovered additional evidence that the claim confirmed.
Prosecutors claimed Formalla and the victim were in a classroom at Downners Grove South High School for a guidance session for school when she reportedly had sexually abused him.
During her first police interview, however, Formella ever denied sex with the teenager.
'[Formella said] Everyone comes after her because she looks good and she is just a good person who gave too much to [the boy]'According to judicial documents viewed by DailyMail.com.
When he was confronted with the SMS messages, Formella claimed that the teenager broke in her phone and she sent to herself to blackmail her.
“She claimed that one day, [the boy]Had taken her phone unattended, her access code had entered … Had sent the message to his phone, had deleted the message from her phone and had saved it to his phone as a blackmail, “the documents said.
Authorities have not released any further information about the alleged sexual attack, but the lawyer of Dupage County Robert Berlin called the accusations extremely disturbing. '
“It is claimed that she has used her position of trust and authority as a tutor and a coach to attack a minor student sexually,” he claimed and noticed: “The type of abuse and behavior that is claimed in this case will not be tolerated.”
Since August 2020, Formella has been working as a special education teacher at Downners Grove South High School and has been a volunteer football coach since 2021 for both the boys 'and girls' teams.
