A mother in California is accused of stabbing her 11-year-old son in a hotel room after a day of Disneyland.
Saritha Ramaraju, 48, is accused of murdering the death of Yatin Ramaraju, who took place on the day he was supposed to return to his father's care.
The young person was found with his throat cut and several stab wounds on his body in a room in La Quinta Inn & Suites in Santa Ana on March 19.
His mutilated body was discovered surrounded by souvenirs of his journey.
Ramaraju had bought three -day steps for Disneyland for herself and her son as part of a guardianship visit, according to the office of the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
But on the day they check out, the police eventually made the grim discovery.
Officers were called on site at 9.12 am after Ramaraju had asked 911 and the operator told that she had killed her son and had taken an unknown substance, according to the DA.
The police of the Santa Ana arrived at the motel and arrested Ramaraju on suspicion of murder.

It seemed that her son had been dead for a few hours before their arrival, said public prosecutors.
A large kitchen knife was found in the Motelkamer, the authorities say that the day before was purchased.
Ramaraju was taken to the hospital where she was fired the next day.
She was booked in the prison of Santa Ana on accusation of murder, children's threat, torture and worsened chaos.
De Da later announced that Ramaraju is now being confronted with one count of murder and one crime improvement of personal use of a weapon for the knife.
She and her husband divorced in 2018 after she had moved from the state.
“The life of a child should not stay in the balance between two parents whose anger weighs heavier than their love for their child,” said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer.
