Severn Trent Water (STW) immediately suspended Damon Joshua, who was subsequently rejected without notice after a disciplinary hearing.
In the post, including an image of the Israel flag, Mr. Joshua wrote: 'A year ago our valued partners and friends, Israel, were horribly attacked by a group of violent and disgusting terrorists. I can say that the vast majority of STW employees are in solidarity with our Jewish, Israeli and Zionist colleagues against the evil of Islamist terror. '
The position was removed by managers after other employees complained that 'the terminology was very derogatory' and 'is very one -sided', was reported.
Mr. Joshua told the Sunday Telegraph: 'It happened within a few hours. I got the mail at 7.50 am.

Joshua appealed against his resignation for coarse misconduct but was not successful.
A spokesperson for Severn Trent Water said: “This is a complex matter for employee relationships and it is important to be clear that this is not the whole story or an isolated incident.”
