Sex is perhaps the last thing with a Dodgy Ticker is research with everyone's research that it can actually be a life savior.
Scientists who looked at mortality rates in men and women with heart disease discovered that people who enjoyed sex at least once a month were half of them to die of heart problems as others who were largely celibate.
It is now thought that regular sexual activity has a protective effect on the heart, even in people with sick arteries, by stimulating blood flow.
However, many men and women with the diagnosis of cardiovascular problems are reluctant to enjoy sex, in the event that it causes a life -threatening attack.
Researchers from Walden University in Minneapolis in the US followed tens of thousands of adults between 20 and 59 before their survey, who interview them about their sex life and the findings match their medical history.
The results, published in the Healthcare Journal, showed that those with a history of heart problems were of up to five times more likely to die prematurely than others of the same age without heart issues.
But those who had sex at least once a month were half the chance to undergo an early death as heart patients without active love life.
The results support previous studies that showed that the resuming of sexual activity within a few months after a heart attack can reduce the opportunities to die by more than a third party.

In a report on their findings, the scientists said: 'There is a wide range of health benefits in connection with regular sexual activity.
“Given that heart conditions are an important cause of mortality, these benefits are especially important to tackle.”
Heart attacks and strokes kill around 170,000 people a year in the UK – the equivalent of one of the three minutes. And around 1.4 million people survived at least one heart attack.
The British Heart Foundation says it is normal for people with heart disease to worry about sex.
But it adds: 'For most people there is no reason why you cannot continue to enjoy a healthy sex life. Sex is no more chance of a heart attack than any other form of activity. '
