Four alpacas were 'executed' yesterday in a field by Schoten in the head in a scene described by their owner as a 'massacre'.
Dawn French was warned in the morning for the massacre and rushed to the horrible 'murder scene' in her six -hectare field in a small village of Cambridgeshire.
A .22 caliber gun or something similar is supposed to have been used for the callous murders, with a fifth alpaca survived despite a shot in his face. An ooi was also torn apart by dogs and had to be put down.
“It looked like a murder scene when we arrived. The alpacas were all shot in the head like an execution. It was absolutely massacre, “said Mrs. French.
“It is something I would never want to see again and would not want to wish for my worst enemy.”
Mrs. French and her husband Brian, who hold a small in East Hatley, a few miles west of Cambridge, originally had six alpacas and two sheep, as well as chickens and geese.
One of the sheep was seriously injured in a ditch and had to be put asleep later. The other terrified sheep hid in a hedge.
“We had a call on Sunday to tell us quickly to reach the field and that it was not a nice sight,” Mrs. French added.

'We found four alpacas spread across the field and they all had horrible head injuries. Another alpaca, our oldest, Pheobe, had a surface wound where she was shot in the face. She survived, but her face is paralyzed and she is now on strong painkillers.
'There seemed to have been a dog in the field because there were dog footprints everywhere and sheepfleece on the ground where it seemed to have pulled [at] The sheep.
'It all seems completely unreal, like something from a movie. We have had scenes of crime here and the police are very worried because a gun was used. '
All alpacas were bred by the couple and were between eight and 12 years old.
“They were our pets, we love animals and we used to breed the alpacas and when they were younger, we would sell their fleeces,” she said.
“Nobody has any idea what the motive was. You can't see the field from the road.
“One person said that they might be considered deer at night, because we get deer stalkers. I just don't know, maybe it's the newest sick sport. It is absolutely not for food while they left the bodies. '
In a message from Facebook, she wrote earlier: 'Well, what an absolutely horrible day that we have just had. Four of our beautiful alpacas shot in the head and killed, one ewe slaughtered by dogs, another alpaca -wounded and one alpaca & ewe terrible and so shiny.

'Spent all day in East Hatley with the police, national crime team, SOCO (scene of crime officers) and veterinarian who save the wounded. What happened!
'Absolute B%#^stards that have led so many lives. The police take it very seriously with those involved … What on earth now? '
She added: “Anyone with animals should please be wary of this sick F#%^.”
Cambridgeshire police officers have carried out house questions and now ask everyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
Sergeant Tom Nutall, from the national crime action team, said: “This was a very disturbing crime that caused death and serious injury to defenseless animals.
“I would encourage everyone who knows something about this violation to contact us as soon as possible.”
A police spokesperson confirmed that the weapon used was '.22 or higher rifle'.
