She and her son will view the Avanaata Qimussersu Dog Sleed Race during their journey. The US is a sponsor of the race where 444 dogs and 37 Mushers will compete.

According to local media, American officials have been contacted with Malik Berthelsen, the mayor of Qeqqata in Greenland, to set up a visit to Vance.
