A father of Queensland says that he owes his life to his 'hero son' who has extended two wild pit bull -terriers while they pulled him during a family outing.
Locksmith Brett Grant, wife Jennifene and son Dalton were in Ingham Showgrounds last Saturday in the distant north -queensland when a Stranger's Ute stopped close to them.
The driver has unloaded a suit of six dogs, including the two Pit Bull Terriers, who have made a beeline for Mr Grant's family.
“They first tried to attack my wife,” Mr Grant told Daily Mail Australia.
“When I asked the man with the Ute if they were his dogs, they just started to come before us.”
Mr Grant tried to hide in a car nearby while the dog owner tried to control one dog, but the second continued the crazy attack and sank his teeth in him.
'It was stuck on my back, then it started to go to my throat… I couldn't do anything to get this dog away from me, it wouldn't stop, “he said.
While Mrs. Grant looked in Horror, Dalton, 24, in, to save his father from almost certain death while the dogs tore his flesh.

“He just kept beating the dog until he finally released,” said Mr Grant.
“If it wasn't for him, I would be dead, I owe him my life.”
Mr Grant was rushed to the Townsville University Hospital before he underwent three hours of operation to treat injuries, including multiple bites on the shins, lower and upper legs, kneejoint, buttocks and upper arm arm against protecting his throat and face.
'I was operated on for about three hours because they had to reopen with dog bites [all the wounds] To thoroughly clean and wash everything, “he said.
“The doctors think there are about 13 bites – it's a bit difficult to count because there are some kind of dental markings everywhere.”
Mrs. Grant was treated for Shock in Ingham Hospital because of the cruelty of the attack.
“She's still very shocked,” he said. “And Dalton is not ready to talk about it.”
Mr Grant, who owns a security locksmith in Ingham, said that he will now concentrate on helping his son with some of his 'projects' as a way to pay him back.
