The mother who is left with horrible injuries after he had been attacked by her ex-partner, has insisted on expressing domestic violence to speak out and get help.
Miranda Bury, 35, had black eyes, bruises over her body and swollen lips after she was abused by her then friend Joshua Carney, 30.
A shocking video, captured by a doorbell camera, shows Carney that grabs Mrs. Bury by the throat and hits her.
The couple loads a van together in apparent calm, when Carney suddenly puts his bike in the back and lungs forward to hit Mrs. Bury's lower body.
She shouts “Josh!” Before he grabs her throat and cuts the video.

Carney van Fleetwood, Lancashire, was sentenced to 23 weeks in prison this month after he had been guilty of two counts of actually physical injury and intimidation towards Mrs. Bury.

She has now spoken about her test and tells other victims that, contrary to what your abuser could convince you, help is available.
The mother of four said: “It's easy to” talk to someone, “but that's the hardest in the world.
“He made me believe that no one would ever listen to me or believe me.
'Once you say it to someone out loud, it really makes it and you realize what situation you actually are.
'It is very, very scary how much another person can really destroy your self -value.
'But you don't have to accept it. There is so much more for yourself and for your own value.
“I wish I never had to experience this, but it made me so aware when it comes to friendships and other relationships and what I should and should not stand for.”
Mrs. Bury met Carney on social media in 2019 and she said he felt her as “she was the only person in the world.”

Mrs. Bury says she was repeatedly physically attacked by violent carney
But after about four or five months, he started making derogatory comments about her appearance.
Then he became violent and physically offensive.
“There would be the strange push or push, but again, I rejected it because I didn't want to believe it,” said Mrs. Bury Bury.
“I blamed myself and said it was my fault. I convinced myself that I made sure he was pushing me and was verbally offensive.
“But looking back it wasn't my fault.”
Mrs. Bury said her mental health suffered and she could not say what behavior was 'normal' in a relationship.
'I had talked to him about earlier relationships and how I felt and he would use it as a weapon and use it against me.
“He made it so I had no self -value or self -confidence, he took everything away from me.”

Mrs. Bury said that Carney forced her to wear hoodies and leggings in the summer and she stopped wearing a full face of makeup to prevent his unpleasant comments.
Carney also ignored Mrs. Bury for hours. When she became sad, he behaved as if “nothing was wrong.”
The beauty therapist said: 'He came to my house one day and he never left.
'He tapped every box and I didn't think there were red flags at the time. He was too good to be true.
“As soon as he got his feet under the table, he actually moved in.”
Mrs. Bury said that Carney started to make hurtful comments and gradually deteriorated his behavior from that moment.
“He would say things like:” What do you wear that? ” Or “wear something else”.
“He let me be second all the time and I wanted to keep him happy, so I helped.

In the summer, Mrs. Bury wore modest, heavy clothing to keep Carney happy.
“We had a scorching summer for a year and I was in my garden with shorts to my knee and was in a hoodie,” she said.
“I didn't want to think about his behavior because I wanted to make him happy, there was nothing that I wouldn't do for him.
'If he was happier because I was covered or because I had taken my hair extensions away, I didn't mind.
“He made it so I was so dependent on him.
“I used to wear a full face of makeup and did it since I was 15, but it went down slowly to wear nothing.”
In 2023, Carney received a short prison sentence after he was found guilty of non-fatal strangulation and actually physical injury.
But Mrs. Bury said she had fueled her relationship with him again, regardless of because he could manipulate her, aware of how much she wanted him to change for her.

“When I was pregnant, it was not a fairy tale and it was really difficult for me to know if I did the right one or not,” she said.
“I was promised the world. I wanted him to change and I wanted to be the person to change him.
“I always thought he loved me so much, he would change for me.
“We had separated but were in contact for our son and then he hit his way back.”
Mrs. Bury said that instead of just communicating about their son, Carney started to show his caring side 'by asking about her well -being.
“I thought I was strong, but I wasn't.
“Then he hit me again and that was the last point. I thought enough was enough.
“I feel like a completely different person now.”
Carney was convicted of the Preston Crown Court on 5 March.
He was sentenced to 23 weeks in prison, but because he already had time in a provisional propagant, he was allowed to walk free.
Mrs. Bury, who also received a street ban against Carney, thinks that the punishment is disproportionate to Carney's level of insult.
“He was in for seven months, so he has already been punished, but for me it was very smooth because of how bad our relationship was.
“I still try to digest it, but I got a house ban, which was the most important thing I wanted.”
