British were left with Starstruck tonight after a mysterious rotating white spiral was spotted in the air, with experts who say it is linked to a SpaceX rocket.
Some placed the stunning images on social media, while they joked that they thought it could be 'aliens'.
But experts say that the bizarre form was caused by enlightened frozen fuel that was driven out of the second phase of the rocket.
The light blue spiral is formed when excess fuel released from a rocket turns into ice and then becomes water vapor.
Then it reflects the sunlight in the upper atmosphere.
The Falcon 9 Rocket from SpaceX was launched today for the NROL-69 mission and seems to be the cause.
The company focuses on space exploration, often launches rockets that can create visual effects when frozen fuel is plotted in the atmosphere.

The swirl was spotted from Yorkshire, Hertfordshire, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Stoke-on-Trent and Kent.
Professor Brian Cox said on X: 'For everyone who asked about the strange spiral -shaped form in the air earlier – it was associated with this launch'
He shared a video of SpaceX with the name: “Falcon 9's first phase landed on LZ-1 in Florida.”
UK Astronomy also posted and said: 'Many questions about this! It is the 2nd phase deorbit burned of the SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket. '
This is not the first time that such a phenomenon has been seen.
In 2021, a similar observation was linked to a rocket that launched a satellite in a job.
The American astronomer Jonathan McDowell weighed on the bizarre observation and revealed that the fuel was released by the Long March 2C Rocket in China, which was launched the same day.

“The spiral happens when the rocket ends over the end while he pulled out his fuel – it's exactly like a garden sprinkler,” McDowell told Dailymail.com at the time.
“Apart from the fact that it is in space, the spiral remains perfect for hundreds of kilometers because there is no air to mess up the shape – that's why it looks surprisingly, we are not used to seeing such perfect geometries, because there is always wind or friction on earth to distort things.”
The phenomenon is comparable to what was seen about Norway in December 2009.
