A trading shot in a horrible daylight attack was an employee of the executed crime boss Sam 'The Punisher' Abdulrahim, the detectives revealed on Monday.
CCTV images of the shooting were released on Monday by the Victorian police in a last ditch to catch the shooter covered by the hoodie, reportedly from African appearance.
Detective inspector Adam Tilley confirmed that the 49-year-old victim was known as a partner of dreaded underworld figure, Abdulrahim, known as the Punisher.
“I can say they were known to each other, but is that linked to this shooting?” he said.
“We have no intelligence to suggest that because of his association with SAM that this issue is linked,”
Abdulrahim was shot on January 28 by a team of murderers in the underground parking space in the Quest Hotel of Preston in MelbourneThe North.
The Kickboxer champion had been an important player in the current 'tobacco choices' of Melbourne, who has seen stores around the state in a deadly peat war.
Inspector Tilley refused to work out how the last shooting victim was known to the police, nor would he reveal in which trade he was.
In the days before the Punisher was murdered, it was reported that his employees had also become goals.

Inspector Tilley refused to speculate about the possible involvement of the victim in the illegal tobacco trade.
“I have no information to accurately say that,” he said. 'We have no motive for the shooting. We don't know who the perpetrator was. '
The victim was lured to a home at Denys Street in Fawner, in Melbourne'S Noord, under the prelude to offer a quote for a job.
The intended attack took place on October 3, 2024, where the police release the images in the hope that someone could recognize the shooter.
In the past about the delay when it came forward, inspector Tilley admitted that the shooter may have fled abroad very well.
“There are countless studies that we have to do with regard to an important incident,” he said. 'Countless research roads have already been investigated.
'We have clear forensic evidence and we hope that the car will be restored at some point.
'We have carried out several questions to try to get about that we can ultimately charge someone and offer the victim and his family some reassurance.
“We are now at the point where some of those roads are exhausted and that is where we seek support from the public.”
The shooter was seen in the video with black -white sneakers, black road pants and a hoodie while he ran behind the tradia.

The trading turned around and saw the shooter who stopped three meters from him, lifted his firearm and shot him.
A bullet only hit the left of the trading and then traveled through the meat and the bone and hit his right foot.
He was heard of pain when the shooter ran to his escape car and made his escape.
Inspector Tilley said the police believed that the shooter was not going to kill his target.
'The corner of the firearm is directed at the time of the shooting. I don't believe that the intention was to kill, “he said.
“He certainly came close enough that if he wanted to do that, I believe he could have had that.”
A witness said that the shooter was of African appearance, about 182 cm long, with a slender construction, dark hair and brown eyes.
The trading was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, which he is still being treated almost six months later.
The shooter's outing is considered a White Mercedes Benz GLC43 2018 with cloned plates that read 1NB7FC.

The vehicle has not yet been established.
The police believe that the address that was asked to have been chosen randomly and the incident is not connected to someone who lives on that street.
Although the victim himself provided some information to the police, Inspector Tilley suggested that he had not been fully cooperative with the investigation.
“He spoke with the police,” he said. “He gave an account. He has contact with us and his partner. But limited cooperation. '
They have released a digital composite image of a man who, according to them, may help with their questions.
