A woman has revealed how roller skating completely turned her life, which ultimately resulted in the throwing of 100 pounds and inspires her to take her job and leave her husband.
In 2020, Connie Stowers, now 38, from Lincoln, Rhode Island, seemed to live the dream.
She had a 'well -paid' job as a store manager, a husband and a 'beautiful' newborn daughter, as well as a stunning house … but inside she felt 'trapped' in her marriage and 'uninspired' by her work.
She turned to alcohol to fight her accident, which eventually led to her weight ballooning to nearly 300 pounds.
But everything changed after she discovered the roller shock, and it eventually gave her the confidence she needed to leave her husband, to leave her 'six -digit' job and follow her dream to launch her own company.
Connie – who has shifted nearly 100 pounds since – is now a real estate magnate and avid roles – that is committed to 'showing others that true life transformation is possible at any age.'
She spoke about her impressive transformation exclusively with DailyMail.com.
'Four years ago my life looked good from outside. I had a well -paid job, a wedding, a beautiful daughter, a house – everything I had to want. But I felt trapped, “she explained.

'I was in a situation that split me instead of building me up. I poured myself into a job [had] A great income, but felt like a dead end and just no inspiring fit for me.
'I was a store manager and made almost six digits. It was a good job. It was stable, had security and enough space to grow.
“But I didn't grow. I didn't build anything from me. I made no difference in my life or that of someone else … Deep inside I knew I was meant for more. '
During the COVID-19 Lockdown in 2020, Connie said that she started to use 'food and wine for comfort', and her weight began to become 'spiral-shaped', with her almost 100 pounds in a year.
“I didn't flourish. I didn't even survive. I was stuck. And when I finally admitted that everything began to change for myself, “she explained.
“I remember that one evening I was in the back of the store, exhausted, looking around and thought:” Is this? Is this what my life will be? “
“And the answer – the answer I had avoided – was only when I left it. That was my turning point.
“I decided that day that I would no longer exist. I would transcend everything that had kept me where I was … unhappy, unmotivated and stuck. '

Connie explained that when she first skated the field, she felt a “feeling of freedom” she had never felt before
After that realization, Connie explained that she decided to try different hobbies – when she discovered that she was roller skate and everything changed.

'Skating saved me. It was the first thing that felt like myself again, “she explained. “It challenged me. It built [up my] to trust.'
Once she became more confidence in herself, she soon realized that she 'deserved something better', so she decided to leave her husband.
“It was one of the most difficult things I've ever done, but I had to choose myself. And once I did, my whole life changed, “she said.
She also did it for her daughter, when she added: 'I knew my daughter deserved better. I knew she earned a mother who was present, healthy and a positive role model.
“She was my most compelling motivation to stop and toed myself and to prevent it. And then my true transformation began. '
While she left her husband and when her job was definitely scary, Connie explained that “for the first time in her life” she “did not walk away, but” run to it. “

'I was 297 pounds on my toughest. I have lost almost 100 pounds – but more than that, I have won strength, trust and a whole new life, “she said.
