The police released images of the moment that a nine -year -old boy was hit by a car on a suburb before the driver quickly left the stage, while officers are looking for the 'unreasonable' motorist.
A gray SUV hit the boy while he crossed to Point Cook, West Melbourne, on 11 March on 11 March at 6.15 pm.
In vision released by the police on Tuesday, the car was temporarily stopped after the collision before he started again.
The driver has not yet come to the police.
The boy “miraculously” only sustained minor injuries in the accident, the police said.
A schoolmate of the victim said it was scary to see how his friend was hit.
“When he was about to crash, he was really scared, and he said to the car to stop, but then the car ran away just like quickly,” the friend said Nine News.
The victim's mother said that she did not blame the driver for the collision, but said that person should have stopped to help her son or at least control his condition.

The young boy suffered minor injuries at the collision, a police officer said: “It is more the mental injuries” after the crash
Sergeant Matt Ryan said accidents happen, but a 'reasonable person' would have stopped following the collision.
“It is amazing that he has not been given any worse injuries after seeing the images,” said Sgt Ryan.
“It is currently more mental injuries with him, he is pretty shaken.”
The police hope that someone who sees the vision will recognize the car that is comparable to a Mazda CX3.
The investigation remains underway and anyone who witnesses or has insisted on images of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
