For most weddings around the world, people are generally expected to be allowed to get married at the location.
Not so for high -ranking members of the Taliban.
It is not surprising that members of the regressive terror group have a backward view of the wedding, and how wedding ceremonies should be held as a Western 'explorer' who found out after he gained rare access to the event.
The wedding, held in the Uranus Wedding Palace in Noord -Kabul, was attended by 'thousands', but was completely separated.
Video images, taken by Miles Routledge, showed a huge white hall decorated with gold ornaments and decorations completely filled with men on dozens of tables.
He told MailOnline that all women were in a 'separate, identical location next door', and added that there were about as much as the men.
The YouTuber was also invited to the Nikah, an integral part of Islamic weddings in which a formal marriage contract is signed by both the groom and the bride.
Although both the bride and the groom are usually needed to sign the contract, the Taliban seemed to follow a different approach this time.

In accordance with the regressive nature of the Taliban, which has stuck hard on women's rights in recent years, the bride was not present at the Nikah.
Instead, the male members of the Bride and Bridegroom families sat together in a closed room and went on the formal process on their behalf.
Routledge, a self -proclaimed adventurer and explorer, documented his time during the event.
He previously traveled to Afghanistan only day before the fall of Kabul – when the Taliban knocked over the government and returned control of the country – in August 2021.
Routledge had to be flown from Kabul by the British army to safety.
In 2023 he was arrested by the Taliban during another visit to the country and spent eight months in an Afghan prison.
He also showed the wealth of the event, including two cars given to the groom that were decorated with flowers and the dining room for the male guests who were decorated with gold ornaments everywhere.
As part of the celebration, the groom received money as a gift and guests could have their hands painted with henna tattoo.

'Sodomie' and relationships of the same sex are still punishable with long prisoners, while Stoning became an everyday punishment for 'moral crimes' such as adultery.

At the time, some were willing to close an eye for the excesses of the Taliban, hoping that they could bring the country stably.
Many in Afghanistan believed that rights for women would be restored once institutions had been rebuilt. Girls younger than 12 hours can go to school, but the number that is deliberately denied that training has increased enormously in recent years, per UNESCO.
Some still hope that one day the Taliban will illuminate its grip, so that women can return to school and work and write back the graphic, violent means of punishment in his arsenal.
To date, there is still nothing that suggests that it will happen soon.
