The owner of a worshiped restaurant in Baltimore, known for his famous customers and world famous Krab died of carbon monoxide poisoning in his own house, leaving his loved ones and customers deeply sad.
Costas Triantafilos, 85, the owner of the famous Costas Inn, and his wife Mary were found unconscious on Monday in their Glen Arm, Maryland, at home.
Civil servants of the Baltimore County fire brigade hurried to the scene in response to reports of a cardiac arrest.
But they soon detected high levels of the toxic gas that the house floured from a vehicle, let their garage run, CBS reported.
Costas tragically did not survive carbon monoxide poisoning, while Mary was admitted to the hospital and is expected to recover.
'You squeeze yourself to see if it is real and then you realize that this is a nightmare that doesn't wake you up. It is not going to happen, “Costas Inn -employee Christine Thamert told WMar.
“Yes, you expect to walk in and see him and he won't be here anymore.”
The historic Costas Inn has issued a statement with regard to the devastating loss, which reflects on the dedication of Costas to his community.

The message, posted on Facebook, reads: 'As many of you know, we recently lost someone incredibly special. He was the heart behind everything we do here in Costas Inn.
“He was not only the leading power in our family and things, but a source of power, love and inspiration for so many of us.”
The flagship restaurant has been working since 1971 and is known for its 'world -famous crabs', according to its website.
In addition to a room staple, Costas Inn has seen a good part of the famous guests.
These high -profile customers include Michael Che and Colin Jost from Saturday Night Live, actor John Ratzebberger and New England Patriot Nate Solder.
Ravens Super Bowl champion Bryant McKinnie and NBA player Rudy Gay have also stopped to enjoy a meal and the family-like atmosphere of the inn.
Nick Triantafilos, the son of Mary and Costas, told CBS that his father was planning to open a second Costas Inn location in April.
“He was loved by many people,” he said about his father. “You don't get much better than him.”
Mary and Costas moved from Greece to America to open their successful company, their son wrote in a Facebook message

Nick described both his parents as 'hardworking' in a sincere Facebook post, in which the 52nd birthday of Costas Inn was celebrated on March 29, 2023.
“Once there was two hard -working Greek immigrants, with a passion for people and food, a restaurant opened that later became a pillar of the community,” he started.
“The typical example of the American dream. Congratulations mom and dad and happy 52nd birthday for Costas Inn !!! '
Employees of Costas Inn concerns their gratitude for Costas and how much they will really miss him.
One employee, Kayla Williams, wrote in a tear-jet social media-primary: 'Yesterday a real patriarch went on to heaven. And he was the 'man' in every sentence of the word.
'It's not just a bar or restaurant, it's home to so many people. To his family, employees, friends, customers. '
Signs of carbon monoxide poisoning are often present for the first time as flu -like symptoms, including headache, weakness, stomach complaints and vomiting.
