A flight from United Airlines to New York has returned to Heathrow Airport after it was reportedly undergoing a motorcycle error in the air.
Flight UA147 left today at 3.44 pm from Heathrow, but performed a U-turn from about ten minutes after taking off at more than 18,000 ft.
The transponder of the aircraft sent an emergency code at 3:55 pm, according to the website of the Aviation follower site Flighttradar24.
United Airlines confirmed in a great status update for passengers that the plane had to make the emergency shelter because of a 'technical problem' on the plane.
The technical problem turned out to be a motorcycle error, reports news site AviationSource.
The Boeing 767-300, which had 70 passengers and 11 crow on board, was on their way to Newark in New York City when it had to return to Heathrow.

The plane was safe on Heathrow at 4.37 pm, according to Flighttradar24.
“United Flight 147 returned to London Heathrow Airport to tackle a potentially mechanical problem,” United Airlines said in a statement.
It added: 'The flight landed safely and was then canceled. We work on rebooking customers during the next available flight to Newark. '
The Heathrow airport confirmed to MailOnline that the aircraft landed safely and passengers were safely on board.
