Four US Army soldiers are reportedly found dead after they were missing during a training exercise in Lithuania.
The four soldiers, who were not identified by the authorities, were at the 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division.
Early reports indicate that a vehicle in which the soldiers were in a water body could have fallen.
The soldiers were previously missing on Tuesday after a training exercise near Pabrade, Lithuania, and a search was carried out by the US Army and the Lithuanian authorities.
The soldiers reportedly performed a tactical training routine on the general Silvestras žukauskas Training Ground in Pabradė, which is less than six miles off the border with white -Russia.
In a press release that was published before the soldiers were reportedly found, Lieutenant -Gen Charles Costanza said that “he wants to thank the Lithuanian forces and first responds personally who quickly help us with our search activities.”
“It is this kind of teamwork and support that is an example of the importance of our partnership and our humanity, regardless of which flags we wear on our shoulders,” added Costanza.

The US Army carried out joint training exercises with Lithuanian troops in the midst of increasing tensions between Baltic countries and Russia.
Lithuania, together with Buren Latvia and Estonia, have often had tense ties with Russia since the independence of the Soviet Union in 1990.
Relations in the region deteriorated after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausseda is one of the most vocal European leaders who support Ukraine in her fight against the troops of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
