Macy's closes one of his iconic department stores after more than fifty years.
The Sunrise Mall store in Massapequa on Long Island will close its doors for the last time on 11 April, according to the arguments of the New York State Department of Labor.
The wrestling chain is also taking on two more locations on Long Island, the Macy's at Lake Success Shopping Center in New Hyde Park and Melville Mall in Huntington Station.
Macy's opened his Massapequa location on the same day that the Sunrise Mall opened in August 1973.
As soon as Macy's Sporting Goods from Dick is the only store that is still in the ever bent shopping center.
The closure will result in 77 fired, according to the Department of Labor archives.
After the beloved retailer, the Center City, the location in Philadelphia, had closed on Sunday, is unknown to the fate of his famous organ.

The other stores will close for the next four to 12 months – but not before they have had the sale of approval with a maximum of 90 percent discount. Discounts start lower and rise by the end.
Plans to close 150 under -performing stores by the end of 2026 were first announced by the controversial retailer in February last year. It will see the store numbers cut with a third to 350.
“We close the Underproductive Macy stores to enable us to concentrate our resources in our Go -Forward stores,” said Tony Spring, chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Macy's at the time.
In addition to renewing the stores that does not close, Macy is also planning to expand his footprint with 15 new Bloomingdale's and 30 new BlueMercury locations.
Across the whole of the line, Mary's saw the sale fall last year. But bosses said that the 50 who have already been renewed have seen sales rise.
Bosses kept the 66 doomed stores open during the holidays to let regular customers shop for Christmas and then give in to the sale.
Those being closed are the Kingston Collection Mall in Massachusetts.
Initially, Macy was planning to close 55 in the first 12 months, but stepped up and settled at 66.

Once all 150 are closed, Macy's are left with only 350 stores – far away from the peak of approximately 1,100 in 2008.
