Oprah Winfrey was dragged to hip-hop icon Russell Simmons' high-profile rape shop.
The billionaire, 71, was summoned by Drew Dixon, one of the alleged victims of Simmons, in her continuous defamation against the rapper, according to page six.
Dixon sues Simmons in the field of comments he made in an interview from 2023 about her rape claims and about Winfrey who produces an executive executive documentary about the scandal.
Simmons claimed that Winfrey had withdrawn from the project after discovering 'inconsistencies' in Dixon and other alleged victims stories after assessing recorded conversations.
Now lawyers have ordered Dixon that Winfrey transfer documents and other evidence, which gives the talk show icon a deadline of March 18.
She also ordered Winfrey to testify and give a statement that 'recorded on video'

'You will be ordered to produce the books, records, articles, data, documents, evidence, writings and all other tangible things as described more fully in the attached schedule A [law firm] Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, 55 Hudson Yards, New York, New York 10001 or electronically to the undersigned council, on or before March 18, 2025, “The summons begins.
“You will be ordered to … appear and live for a notary or other person who is legally authorized to cover Eden … and on a sunken or deferred date, to testify and prove as a witness to an investigation before an investigation before the trial against oral questions.”
The documented concluded with: “This deposition can be recorded on video and will continue from day to day.”
According to page six, it remains unclear whether Winfrey meets the requirements set in the summons in the Deadline of March 18 in the summons or worked if her lawyers worked to fight with it.
It is also unclear what assets were asked for.
Dixon launched her defamation in 2024 after Simmons spoke about her accusations during a sit-down interview with Graham Besinger in 2023.
He apparently suggested that Dixon was'[thirsting] For fame 'and the search for' fame 'by accusing him to rape her in his apartment 30 years ago.
He also stated that he had only had 'consensual' relationships with women and that he “had never been powerful in one of my relationships.”
In the same interview, he said that the exit of Winfrey from On The Record, a documentary about the alleged crimes and rape proposers of Simmons, was the result of finding 'inconsistencies' in Dixon and the stories of Dixon and others.
Simmons also claimed that Winfrey had recordings of the accusators who reveal the alleged inconsistencies.
'I didn't look [the documentary] Because it is not true and I think Oprah said the stories were incorrect, “he said about on the record during his sit-down with Besinger.
He said Winfrey wanted more time to shift her focus on the project and 'the whole thing wanted to change in a documentary about men in general [and] About the entire music industry.
“I could no longer be a subject because she had found too much contradictory evidence about the stories about me,” Simmons claimed.
Winfrey withdrew in January 2020 as an executive producer of On The Record.
While he appeared on CBS this morning to tackle her departure, Winfrey said her decision to leave the project was 'no victory' for Simmons in any way.
“I say unambiguously that I didn't withdraw because of Russell,” she said at the time. “This is not a victory round for him. I cannot be silent by a Russell Simmons after everything I have experienced. '
She said she believed and was in support of the women in the documentary who made the accusations against Simmons, which he repeatedly denied.
Oprah said that professional differences with employees in the documentary led her to make the 'difficult decision' to get rid of the project.
“I had said to them,” Houston, I think we have a problem here “because new information had emerged … I just give it to get it right, and I think there are some inconsistencies in the stories we should look at,” she said.
“I wanted the context of the story to be widened, I wanted more women to be brought into the story.”
She said that the lesson she had picked up in the midst of her work on the project was that “you don't have your name on something you don't have creative control.”
