A 92-year-old man died after he was 'stabbed in mud on his normal walking route', heard an investigation.
William Morris Jones, a retired soil, went on a routine walk around his native Criccieth, Noord -Wales, on the afternoon of December 28, 2024.
But only a few hours later the 92-year-old was missing to the local police.
With calls for his place of residence that was circulating on social media, Mr. Jones was last seen in the neighborhood of Mynydd Ednyfed Country House in Criccieth on the same day around 2.15 pm.
The pensioner's body was later found in an 'incredibly soggy' field where it is supposed to have become 'stuck in mud'.
Mr Jones's death was confirmed that it had been at 6:04 pm the day after he was on his way to his walk, a police inspector said.

An investigation into his death on December 29 was opened this week in Caernarfon, Noord -Wales.
Assistant -Schouwer Sarah Riley said: 'He was found in a field that was extremely soggy and water clear.
“It seems that he got stuck in mud while crossing the field.
“The route was one that he would take normally, but the circumstances at that time were extremely difficult to pass.”
An autopsy performed by a pathologist mentioned preliminary causes of the death of Mr Jones as bronchopneumonia and hypothermia.
Mrs. Riley postponed the investigation into death until further investigation has been completed.
