A heart -warming moment between a college wrestler and his girlfriend becomes viral because of the enormous difference in size between the two of them.
Lucas Byrd from the University of Illinois competed this weekend at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Byrd was 5-foot-6 and competed in the 133 pound weight class and was able to paint his opponent-rake Ayala of the University of Iowa to win the title of Best in his weight class National.
But despite its strong performance, it is the celebration of Byrd that attracted the most attention.
Once declared the winner, Byrd ran away from the mat and in the arms of his girlfriend, Ellie Holzman who is above him above him on 6-foot-2.

Holzman, who played volleyball in Illinois and was seen in an Illinois Varsity jacket, embraced him in some tender scenes.
Holzman then paid tribute to his performance with a message on social media.

Elsewhere on social media, many people praised the 'short king' for his performance and there were many jokes about the height difference.

This is not the first time that the pair has become viral. They have a popular Tiktok account that has nearly 420,000 followers and their videos have received more than 55 million likes.
Holzman played volleyball from 2019-2021. Byrd is in his last year of collegial struggle.
