A woman from Texas was left in pain after a dentist broke her tooth without a permit and seriously damaged her jaw.
Cesar Augusto Perez Mejia, 47, is said to have carried out illegal dental procedures in his apartment in Houston and the patients charged at least $ 250 for his unauthorized services, his neighbors told Click2Houston.
“He had his little clinic there in his house on the lowest,” an anonymous neighbor told the outlet valve in Spanish.
On September 30, 2024, the nameless woman went to the house of Mejia in the La Plaza Apartments Complex to take her tooth.
Mejia used tongs to rip her tooth after she had anesthesia, according to reports.
The woman, who is now insistent, said she had to be taken to the hospital because of complications with the operation, where she heard from her serious injuries.
With regard to the failed tooth extraction, Mejia has been accused of practicing dentistry without a permit and worsened attack.
From Wednesday, the fraudulent dentist was in custody of Harris County prison on a bond of $ 90,000, according to Law & Crime.

Mejia has a history of Run-ins with the law, with archives showing that he was already in custody on an IJshold after he was arrested in February for a non-related attack.
His neighbor, Alejandra Moncada, said that Click2Houston Mejia attacked her with a screwdriver in the apartment complex.
“I sat down and he came out with a screwdriver and was attacked,” Moncada said in Spanish.
“We had to call the police and when the police arrived, he was still on a disaster.”
She claimed that Moncada had made the attempt to harm her because he confused her with another woman.
Allegedly Mejia told her during the violent confrontation that her daughter had beaten his car windows.
But Moncada was sure that this was not true because her children are young, she explained to Click2Houston in Click 2Houston.
The mother said she was aware that Mejia carried out illegal dental procedures in his apartment and that she feels safer knowing that he is behind bars.
These accusations against Mejia come as a woman from New York is accused of running at least two dental practices without a permit and seriously injured several of her unsuspecting patients.

The police commissioner, Kevin Catalina, said that Carranza investigated when investigators received various tips that claimed that she had injured patients.
A patient is said to have suffered “serious nerve damage that led to partial facial paralysis,” Catalina said during a press conference.
Detectives are of the opinion that at some point Carranza also had a fake dental practice in Huntington's station. Huntington Station is approximately 30 minutes driving from Bay Shore.
“She didn't use anesthesia, but she used a local anesthesia, but nobody received anesthesia for the complex dental procedures she did,” Catalina said.
The police say that her illegal practice has been active for eight years, adding that her customer was usually people with a low income who had no dental insurance. She accepted money for her work, the police said.
“We think she focused on the Spanish community, mostly people who had no health insurance policy and many of whom may have been illegal in the country,” Catalina said. “I think her patients were in a serious danger.”
