A quarry employee who died after 18 million with a silo on an industrial site had recently celebrated his second wedding anniversary.
Lindsay O'Brien, 54, manager manager of Manufacturing at Boral Victoria died tragically tragic on Saturday afternoon after the workplace accident in the Montrose Quarry, who investigates Worksafe Victoria.
He is survived by his wife Hana, whom he married on 26 February 2023, about a year after the move from Sydney to Melbourne for work, 7News reported.
Friends, family and colleagues have shared a tribute Mr O'Brien.
“He was a mentor for me and because of him I got the chance to gain years of experience at levels that I would otherwise never have reached,” said a friend and colleague.
“He was funny, intelligent and generous, always made me laugh. I have so much respect and admiration for him and I am sure that he will be missed by many.

“So sad to hear this news, I have great memories of Lindsay,” said another friend.

Mr. O'Brien died after he had fallen in an opening at the top of a silo in Boral's Montrose -Steengroeve
Worksafe Victoria said that Mr. O'Brien was walking at the top of the Silo when he fell about 18m through an opening.
Emergency services were called and he was discovered around 3 p.m.
Victoria Police assists the Worksafe research.
A service for Mr. O'Brien was held in Preston -Moskee on Wednesday afternoon with a wake that is held in Lulie Taven in Abbotsford in the early evening.
