They promised to navigate their split with 'gratitude, love and friendliness', but have sent the relationships between Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, with the alienated spouses who are now in a bitter battle about money, DailyMail.com can reveal.
Furness, 69, and Jackman, 56, announced the end of their 27-year marriage in a shock statement in September 2023, and fans told them that they 'shift' and as a result had decided 'divorcing to pursue our individual growth'.
In January they were a matter of weeks away from submitting a divorce in New York.
But two months later, and the once happy couple of Hollywood are in an impasse because Furness believes that she has 'right' on more money – and Jackman refuses.
“Hugh and Deborra-Lee have not yet requested a divorce because they have difficulty reaching an agreement on how to distribute their assets,” said a source. “Deborra-Lee feels right to more money than Hugh is willing to offer.”
Her insistence on getting a larger part of their estimated fortune of $ 250 million is partially fed by the dark origin of his romance with Broadway Star Sutton Foster.

“Although he did not physically cheat her with sutton, Deborra-Lee believes that they had an emotional affair and she feels that he has betrayed her,” the source continued.
Their marriage began to fall apart during Covid, as previously reported by Dailymail.com, around the same time that Jackman Sloot a friendship with Foster, his Costar on the Broadway revival of 2022 of the music man. She was married to Ted Griffin at the time.
They finally confirmed their romance in January with some fans as a staged photo opportunity when they left a Los Angeles restaurant hand in hand.
Sources near Jackman have always insisted that there was no overlap with him and Furness by the time he started to date with Foster.
But it is of little comfort for Furness, who is said to be using his new relationship to get what she believes she deserves financially.
