A father of two drove around with a £ 1 million winning lottery ticket in his car for four months and only thought it was when he was looking for a half-eaten package of chips.
Darren Burfitt had stored a few lottery tickets in his car for safe storage, but never came close to checking them.
But after friends and family hear A profession to find a missing millionaire from the Euromillions draw, he was convinced to check his figures.
The 44-year-old from Swansea said: 'When my son asked for a package of chips, I didn't want to open a new bag.
'We often end up with half -open bags chips and I knew there was a package that he had not finished in the car, so I said I would stand out and get it for him.
“At the same time, I decided to grab my national lottery tickets, went back to the house and each started scanning on the National Lottery app on my phone.”
Darren said he was made up when one of the tickets pinged while he scanned it and discovered that he had won £ 3.60.
He said: “One of the tickets was particularly wrinkled, so I thought I would leave it until the end.

Gemma said: “I just could never imagine that it has so much money – it's an unreal feeling '
'It was so crushed that it would not scan, so I had to put the draw details forward and read the results.
“I couldn't completely believe it when I did. I still can't believe it now.
'I just kept looking at the date and then at the matching Euromillions Millionaire Maker code.
“I just couldn't understand what I saw!”
While the news inner sun, it slowly insisted on Darren that he had unlocked his car every day for the past four months and everyone could have stolen his winning ticket.
Darren said: 'My car is honestly a shed on wheels, held together with mud.
'It has almost no value, so I never make the effort to lock it up! I fear to think what could have happened to that winning ticket! '

Darren's wife, Gemma, an education assistant, was away at night when Darren discovered his victory.
He said: 'When I called Gemma, my voice was shaking so much and she was convinced that something had happened to one of the children.
“I said no – we won a million pounds! But she just wouldn't believe me! '
The couple, who also has a six-year-old daughter, is now planning to buy their first home together and a truck to replace their lemon car.
Darren said: 'I keep dreaming of a trip to see the ashes in Australia, but a pick-up truck is first on the list.
“The children will love the pick-up and it will enable us to go even more adventures as a family!”
Gemma, 34, added: 'I just could never imagine that it has so much money – it is an unreal feeling.
'I literally have to keep squeezing myself with the thought that it is a dream that will wake me up!
'We love our lives and enjoy great caravan holidays, but this just brings things to a different level and enables us to do even more as a family.
'It changes everything and we can finally buy our own house. It will give us so much security for our future and the future of our children. '
