A 'grumpy' retired Nam Devilish revenge on his loyal landlord when he threw away a Wollongong house by hiding rotten seafood and gluing everything in sight.
Dissatisfied tenant Colin Spargo unleashed a vengeful trail of destruction in which hidden bags with rotten shrimp and a Lotclown pop were involved after former friend and landlord David Longford had raised the rent.
Spargo had once been a 'family friend' when he moved to the Warilla rental 12 years ago, Mr Longford told an current affair.
The couple agreed with a 'handshake deal' and Spargo never paid a bond, but Mr Longford admitted that he was warned that his former tenant would have a cunning arrangement.
“I was told by people who knew him that he would probably do something out of revenge on his way to the door and I didn't think it would be so bad,” he said.
“He was a family friend, he started here in 2012 with $ 350 a week, and it remained so probably around 2017 when I stopped the rent to $ 400 a week.”
However, Spargo issued his former landlord a terrible threat before he had left the rent after Mr Longford told him that he raised the rent to $ 550 and hired a broker.

Spargo disappeared and when Mr. Longford attended his property, he discovered that the retired industrial strength had used glue to confirm everything at the house.
Longford could not even access his property because Spargo had glued every door, window and shutter around the house.
When Mr Longford finally forced his way in, he discovered that the building smelled of a mysterious and destroyed scent.
He discovered that Spargo also recorded chairs, tables, all drawers, bedroom doors, kitchen cabinets, built -in cupboards and inner windows.
Mr Longford said he was forced to hip-and-shoulder a bedroom door because it would not admit because of the power of the glue.
Spargo also left the house in pure dirt, poured paint on beds, switched and destroyed benches and even stuck the lawn mower and the petrol cap that made it unusable.

The former friend also hid a second bag of rotting shrimp in a wall cavity that explained the nasty scent that penetrated through the destroyed rental party.
“He has glued all the shutters, we have seven shutters in the house, all are glued, cannot be moved,” said Mr Longford.
'This bedroom was probably his best effort, we have glue here, he has thrown a bucket of paint over the bed that has been left here and the cupboards so that they cannot be recycled either.
“He left and cut this sofa so that it cannot be donated to anyone. In retrospect, I wish a bit that I had not cared for him that long and had taken him earlier. '
Mr Longford did not say how much the cleaning account would be, but agreed that he was 'for a large account'.
