Gene Hackman and the bodies of his wife Betsy Arakawa have still not been claimed a month after the couple was found dead, causing rumors about a gap with the daughters of the deceased star.
The remains of Hackman and Arakawa have still not been claimed and are in the hands of the office of the New Mexico medical researcher, TMZ reported on Thursday.
The medical researcher updates the list of non -displayed decentents every Monday.
Hackman and Arakawa were mentioned earlier this week as not claimed and TMZ confirmed with the medical investigator's office that their bodies remained in storage there.
The apparent snub seems to verify that Hackman was alienated from his three children Leslie Ann, Christopher and Elizabeth.
Hackman, 95, and Arakawa, 65, were found dead on their compound in Santa Fe, New Mexico on 26 February.
Arakawa first died of a disease called Hantavirus transferred by rodents. Hackman, who had a serious Alzheimer's disease, died a week later.
