In February last year, the football player received a prison sentence of four and a half years after three judges had convicted him for the sex attack after a three -day trial

Public prosecutors came on appeal and called on him to be imprisoned for nine years. Private prosecutors acting on behalf of the woman who accused him of raping her in Sutton Nightclub in Barcelona on January 30, 2022 demanded that he was imprisoned for 12 years after they had also disputed the original conviction and a prison sentence

The Catalan radio station RAC-1 was always sure that he would be cleaned up, she added: 'Of course this was what we expected.
“Dani Alves is innocent and this has been shown. We are very happy and very excited. '
She said she had to continue reading the 101 pages document and had not yet decided if she would demand a fee.
Public prosecutors have a definitive appeal that they can submit – to the Supreme Court of Spain.
It was not immediately clear this morning whether they are trying to destroy it, but they are expected to do this.
Dani Alves stays in Barcelona, but will get his Spanish and Brazilian passports back in the coming hours and will then be free to leave the country if he wants.
He spent the morning with his lawyer and is still supposed to be with her because of the long written sentence.
The football player is not expected to release a full statement until he has done it.
Alves had to post a bail of a million euros (£ 850,000) to leave prison – and agreed to hand in his passports as part of a ban on leaving Spain and register at the court every Friday.
He ordered take-away hamburgers on his first night of freedom.
He protested against his innocence on 7 February last year after taking on the last day of his three-day trial and said that the sex he had with his 23-year-old female prosecutor was consensual and stated that he would never hurt anyone.

Alves – Has been to bail since March last year – said today through his lawyer Ines Guardiola in his first reaction to the news of his rape reference that he was 'very happy'
The woman he was found guilty of rape insisted that he had forced himself on her after she had beaten her when she gave her proof behind the court behind a screen.
The three original procedural judges confirmed in a 61 -page written statement that questioned him of the sexual attack with which they had taken into account as a 'mitigating factor', his prevention of the 150,000 euros (£ 128,000) was ordered to give his victim as compensation.
The professional judges ruled that the prosecutor of Dani Alves was an 'unreliable complainant', as evidenced by video certificate and the fact that she denied that a sexual act had taken place that was confirmed by DNA tests with very high probability.
They added: 'It cannot be concluded that the standards needed by the suspicion of innocence are met.
'The court ruling uses the term credibility as a synonym for reliability in its analysis, and it is not.
'The credibility corresponds to a subjective conviction that cannot be verified, associated with the person who makes the statement. Reliability, on the other hand, relates to the statement itself. '
The Catalan Supreme Court has issued a statement that confirmed Alves' acquittal on appeal.
It stated that the professional section 'had unanimously confirmed the attraction of football player Dani Alves.
The court noted that the original conviction 'a series of gaps, inaccuracies, inconsistencies and contradictions with regard to the facts, the legal assessment and its consequences' contained.
The statement also confirmed that the court had rejected an appeal of both the prosecution and the private prosecution to look for longer penalties.
The ruling has effectively destroyed all precautions that was previously imposed on Alves.
Alves' mother Lucia Alves, who attended his rape process and caused controversy by calling her son's female prosecutor and presenting them in a post from social media that she later removed, responded to Instagram today.
She posted a photo of the football player with her and her husband and wrote: “Thank you for my God for everything.”
The former Minister of Equality of Spain Irene Montero, now a MEP for hard-left Wing Party Podemos, caused controversy with a tweet on X that led to accusations that she had not read the acquittal of the court properly.
It said: 'The statement that Dani Alves acquires that the victim is not credible is a clear example of institutional violence and patriarchal justice that leaves women unprotected and, as the UN says, retains the culture of the aggressors of impunity.
'Thousand and once: only' yes' is' yes'.
The Spanish vice-president of the Maria Jesus Montero government hit a more reconciling tone and said: “I'm going to be careful because I haven't read the statement yet.
“I would like to repeat my solidarity with all the victims of physical abuse or mistreatment that are sometimes treated with much.”
Alves' female prosecutor lawyer Ester Garcia said that she would not comment for the time being 'out of respect for her client'.
