A friend who killed his 21-year-old partner by repeatedly hit her head against the floor in the night of their first birthday, was imprisoned for life.
Kain Tailby, 31, Christine Everett-Hickson attacked brutally in their flat in Riddings, Derbantshire, after enjoying an evening out for their birthday on February 17 last year.
A jury heard how the couple had been involved in a heated spuw before Tailby Christine, known as Chrissie, grabbed her neck and repeatedly hit her head against the floor, causing her brain damage.
A neighbor described how he heard different loud pony for silence. He then texted a friend and said that he was “seriously worried” for Chrissie before he called emergency services.
Paramedics hurried Chrissie to the hospital where doctors discovered that they had sustained a number of skull fractures and a traumatic brain injury. She died five days later.
In police, BodyCam images of his arrest, Tailby can be heard that I told officers “that it had just been a bad night” and tried to trivialize his actions, suggesting that Chrissie had become 'pushy and Shovey' before he 'took revenge'.
Tailby initially admitted manslaughter, but intentionally denied killing Chrissie. But a jury was guilty of murder after a trial at the Crown Court derby.
Today he received a lifelong imprisonment with at least 16 years and 329 days, with judge Shaun Smith KC proverb “His explosion of anger and violence” had “thrown away life” of a young lady “who had just started to live.”

Chrissie was described by her family as 'a joyful, good -hearted and affectionate daughter' and 'One of the four beloved sisters'
In an 'admirable' show of compassion, the mother of Mrs. Everett-Hickson Dawn Hickson told the court that she forgot her daughter's murderer and said, “I wish you the best, you need that lusty need to comfort your soul.”
Today judge Shaun Smith KC judge Said: 'In just a few minutes in your flat, your explosion of anger and violence sagged the life of Chrissie.
“She was only 21 when she died five days later. She was described by her mother in her victim impact statement as “lively, funny, innocent, really beautiful, compassionate, compelling”. A young lady who had just started to live.
'Your life and the life of so many others have permanently changed your violence forever.
'Why? Only you will really know. Whatever the reason, it was not a justification for the level of violence you used.
'The effect of your actions on those who knew and loved Chrissie is and will remain immeasurable.
'Her life and smile were infectious, she was friendly and attentive. That Chrissie's mother forgives you is more than admirable. (But) I accept that you are not a bad man. '

Police Bodycam images of Tailby's arrest were also shown to the jury. In IT Tailby you can hear that I tell officers: “It is our one -year anniversary and it had just been a bad night.”
He then tries to blame Chrissie for the argument: 'She got intrusive Shovey, she started pushing me and pushing me.
“I am a bit bigger than what she is and it just escalated from there.”
Detective agent Jonathan Reeves, from the Derbantshire police, said: 'It is impossible to put the extreme destruction in words that the family of Chrissie has experienced since her death – all because of the actions of one man.
'Chrissie looked at Tailby to offer her love and support, but instead he ended her life in a truly horrible way.
'At the age of only 21, Chrissie had so much to look forward to in her life and it is an absolute tragedy that she will never reach her dreams and celebrate further milestones.
'Tailby would have known that his behavior would have had only one outcome on that night, but he was never able to explain why he did what he did.
'He will now serve for many years behind bars for this crime – while Chrissie's family is confronted with a life sentence.

Chrissie's family paid tribute to the beloved sister and daughter in a statement shortly after her death.
It said: “Christine was a joyful, good -hearted and affectionate daughter. She was one of the four beloved sisters, who describe her as one of the purest hearts of life.
'Her charming character was always the best in everything and everyone. Her bustling although occasionally shy personality emphasized her passion for animals, creativity, music and art.
'She had the most infectious smile and a smile that even brightened up the darkest days. Losing her will forever leave a void in our family that will never be filled because she was really one of the true blessings of life and she will be missed without words. '
