A travel securator stated that Albuquerque, New Mexico, possesses the 'most frightening neighborhood in America' after he was amazed by what he saw during a trip there.
YouTuber Nick Johnson, who has built a next one of more than 1.1 million subscribers by visiting the most filthy areas of the country, shared his surprise during a visit to Albuquerque's Squalid International District.
Known as 'the war zone' by the locals, the area is strewn with homeless camps and opening drugs.
“Oh my God, oh my God,” Johnson said to himself while he filmed the streets full of gangs, homeless and waste.
The decline of the district in one of the worst areas in the nation is in stark contrast to the beautiful beauty of the many natural attractions of New Mexico, including White Sands National Park.
New Mexico, nicknamed the country of enchantment, is also not slow when it comes to cities, with Santa Fe famous for its beautiful Pueblo-Spanish revival architecture.
But while picturesque areas of the state are flourishing, Albuquerque – the most populated city in New Mexico – has struggled as a fentanyl trade across the nearby border with Mexico.
Johnson said he visited the city after he had encouraged this by his followers, and said shortly after arrival that he could not believe the state of the area.

Johnson said that one of the reasons why Albuquerque has seen such an increase in vagrancy in recent years is due to a parallel rise in other hubs such as Los Angeles and Austin, Texas.
He said that while the streets of those cities fill themselves, homeless people have looked elsewhere.
“It's an untouched market,” he said. “There is much less competition here, and it's hot, and they give them what they need.”
After they had left through the area and witnessed drugs open -air, Kampen with faintly fallen people and gangs on the street, Johnson asked the local population why city officials had the situation.
“I don't think they care,” said the local resident Sam Elliot.

After filming the filthy circumstances of the area, Johnson said bluntly: “You can't save any of the people I saw that day in the streets of Albuquerque”
In a statement to the Santa Fe New Mexican, Johnson thought about his experience in the state and said he hoped that his video could prevent others from falling into the same life as he filmed on the street.
“You can save none of the people I saw that day in the streets of Albuquerque,” he said.
'But hopefully every child will look up that grow up in New Mexico and it scares never to want to live that way. This video must be needed to view for high school children in your state. '
Senator Nicole Tobiams from the State told The Outlet that Johnson's video was a terrible memory of her own experience in the international district.
She remembered: 'There was someone we knew who received an apartment a few years ago in that district, and we were going to help them move.
