Well, wishes are broken in for King Charles after he was admitted to the hospital in the midst of his cancer treatment.
Charles, 76, was forced to cancel a series of engines in Birmingham today after the suffering of 'temporary side effects' that require a short period of observation in the London Clinic.
But he returned to Clarence House and worked 'away as usual' last night, with sources that describe it as a 'most small bump in a road that goes a lot in the right direction'.
The king has been able to undertake a full program of public and national tasks, and that position remains unchanged, sources emphasized. It is, however, understood that the state visit to Italy with the queen is expected on 7 April, will still continue as planned.
It will be Charles' first overseas trip of the year after a debilitating two -week foreign tour to Australia and Samoa in October, in which he temporarily pauses the treatment of cancer.
There was an outpouring of good wishes after the king's health update, who comes more than a year after his Majesty started treatment in February 2024 for an unknown form of cancer.
A spokeswoman for Sir Keir Starmer said that the Prime Minister 'wishes his Majesty the King, all the best' shortly after the announcement of the palace last night.
Royal commentator Angela Levin also sent her greetings to the king and wrote on social media: “He is a great man and I wish him the best.”

A source added: “As many can be responsible, such things are not unexpected with these types of conditions.”

Last fall he even undertook a debilitating foreign tour of two weeks to Australia and Samoa.
