Anthony Albanese has revealed that he is forced to communicate through American officials on the rates imposed on Australia while waiting for a phone call from Donald Trump.
The prime minister was put under pressure on his relationship with the US president on Sunday morning during a tense performance in the ABC's Insiders program.
Albanians had tried to call Trump at the beginning of March with regard to the 25 percent rates imposed on steel and aluminum exported from Australia to the US.
Trump answered the call with insiders not -host David Speers who wonder when Mr. Albanese could expect that he would hear from the president.
“An indication of whether he goes back?” he asked.
Albanese made the admission that his government was busy with American officials and tried to explain why Trump did not pick up his phone call.
“The reason why that did not happen was because the president made a decision not to talk to anyone and to impose this regime on every country,” he said.
Albanian also refused to answer whether or not the US was reliable when the question was asked for the first time.

“Your Canadian counterpart Mark Carney says that the United States” are no longer a reliable partner. ” Do you agree? “SPEERS asked.

The prime minister finally gave a good answer when he was examined a second time.
