Two-time Major Championship winner and Liv golfer Bubba Watson have filed a stunning claim about the peak of Tiger Woods compared to the recent rise of one golfer.
In 2000, Woods might have had the best season on the PGA Tour that every individual player could ever collect.
He won the US Open in Pebble Beach, the Open Championship in St. Andrews, and the PGA championship in Valhalla Two win large titles three to five in his career.
Not only that, but he won six other events on the tour calendar of that year: the Mercedes Championships (now known as the Sentry), the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Bay Hill Invitational (now known as the Arnold Palmer Invital), the Memorial, the WGC-NECian open.
But despite all those victories – including those three major titles – Watson believes that there is another golfer who submits a claim for the best season in the history of Golf.
“I know Tiger in 2000 did some things,” Watson told Golf.com. 'But scottie [Scheffler]year [in 2024] Was the best we've ever seen with all the talent around the world that is now playing. That was it. '

Watson's claim is cool. Let's let it contextualize, shall we?
Firstly, Scheffler did not win as many events as Woods – with seven total victories in 2024 home.
Scheffler started his 2024 with a victory at the Arnold Palmer, then the players' championship before putting on his second green coat on the Masters.
He followed that with victories over the RBC heritage, the Memorial, the Travelers Championship and finally the Tour Championship – and claimed the FedEx Cup with that.
Apart from the Tour, Scheffler also won a gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games, something Woods could never compete for.
Head-to-head, both Woods and Scheffler had 20 starts on the Tour in their respective year of quantity. Both golfers made each cut for their events.
In addition to the six wins, Scheffler finished in the top 25 in 18 of his 20 events, finished 17 times Top-10 and second open twice on the Houston and the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial.
In Majors, Scheffler won De Masters with four strokes about Ludwig Aberg, T-8 ended on the PGA Championship (also in Valhalla), a rough T-41 at the US Open in Pinehurst and then T-7 at the opening at Royal Throne.

But those are fewer events, fewer Majors and less top 25 finishes than Woods in 2000
