The grieving daughter of Gene Hackman asked strangers to help take care of her father's beloved pets, a day after the remains of Hackman, his wife and one of their dogs were found by caregivers.
In a hair -raising video obtained by DailyMail.com, Elizabeth Hackman belongs with a representative with the Santa Fe County Sheriff office about what the two surviving dogs should be done.
The representative told Elizabeth that Joey Padilla, owner of Santa Fe Tails, could temporarily take the animals with them.
Padilla was familiar with the three dogs, because Hackman's wife, Betsy Arakawa, would take them to his company to train over the years.
“I called the dog that had been left here in the house that our Animal Control Officer was able to catch,” said the delegate. 'We came in contact with Joseph to meet him to take custody over that dog. You're good at that, Elizabeth? '
She replied: 'Oh, yes. OK.'
When asked what should be done with the remains of a 12-year-old Australian kelpie-mix called Zina, Elizabeth replied: “Should it be cremated?”

The daughters of Gene Hackman, Elizabeth and Leslie Anne, left a Denny's restaurant near Burbank on 27 February

Elizabeth Hackman spoke the same day with Sheriff's delegates about what had to be done with the remains of her father's dog and the other two pets that survived, according to a video obtained by DailyMail.com
The remains of Zina were found in a kennel in a cupboard, not far from where the body of Arakawa was discovered on the bathroom floor.
A necropse report showed that Zina probably died of dehydration and hunger, according to documents obtained by DailyMail.com.
Elizabeth told the representative how the dog's remains should be treated.
“I think of Cremate the dog and bury him with Betsy,” she said.
The call was made the morning after the bodies of Hackman and Arakawa were discovered on 26 February in their house in Santa Fe.
Officials at the office of the New Mexico medical researcher believe that Arakawa died around 11 February of a disease called Hantavirus carried out by rodents. Hackman, who had a serious Alzheimer's disease, died a week later.
In another video obtained by DailyMail.com, Padilla told that researchers were Arakawa, 64, the one who mainly took care of the animals.
He said: “Betsy was the one who had to do with the dogs,” and Hackman often had to stay away from the turbulent dogs because they would sometimes jump on the 95-year-old.
Padilla also added Arakawa, who was his friend for years, “was a health freak” and made for a very good time for herself.
There were “no marital problems,” Padilla added. “They were dognuts. There are toys everywhere in the property. '

The German shepherd of Gene Hackman, called Bear, and his Akita-Hepherd Mix, Nikita, survived the death of Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, while their kelpie mix, Zina, unfortunately died

Betsy Arakawa, who was a classically trained pianist, was a dog lover who bumped into her beloved pets, said friends
It is unclear whether Hackman, who had a fortune of $ 80 million, left legally binding funeral or cremation instructions.
During the phone call, the delegate for whether Elizabeth agreed with leaving the surviving two dogs temporarily with Padilla.
“I know you have many things going on,” said the delegate. “It is probably if the last thing you want to deal with, but you know we want to make sure it is good.”

Hackman, 95, and his wife, pianist Betsy Arakawa, married in 1991. The couple left Hollywood and lived a very private life in Santa Fe to their death in February
Elizabeth replied: 'I think I should come there, but I don't know. I mean, I can come today if necessary. '
The actor had left his Hollywood Fortuin of $ 80 million to his wife, but because she was supposed to have died before him about a week, there could be other legal complications.
It is still unclear whether the three children of Hackman form an earlier marriage – Christopher, Elizabeth and Leslie Anne – are mentioned in his trusts as benefactors.
In her will, Arakawa has indicated her assets to a trust to be distributed among charity organizations and the regulation of medical debts.
It is also unknown whether the few instructions have included about who should take custody of their beloved pets or their own funeral wishes.
The remains of Hackman and Arakawa still have to be picked up by the three children of Hackman. Their remains are still in the hands of the medical investigator's office in New Mexico, according to a weekly list of non -reclaimed bodies released by the office every Monday.
Chris Ramirez, spokesperson for the New Mexico Medical Investigator office, said DailyMail.com that the office of the medical researcher works closely with families to return the remains of family members.

The actor left his Hollywood -Fortuin of $ 80 million to his wife Betsy, who was a successor to his confidence
“It would not be general practice to stay longer than we have to,” said Ramirez. “It would be a normal part of our routine to make agreements with the person who can be owned in the family and take possession of the religious or cultural norms and beliefs they want to do.”
Earlier this week, DailyMail.com revealed that bureaucracy and tension between the brothers and sisters themselves can be the reason that the bodies are able.
Laura Cowan, an award-winning lawyer for Estate Planning and the founder of the 2-hour lifestyle lawyer, said DailyMail.com that there is a legal hierarchy for whom the decision of remains can control if no written instructions remain.
“If his children wanted his remains in California to be treated and he has not left a legally binding funeral or cremation instructions, what is subsequently depends on a combination of state laws, dynamics and logistics of the family,” Cowan said.
Leslie, 58, told DailyMail.com on 27 February that she still processed the rest of the family what happened because there were no indications that there was a problem with her father prior to his death.
“Despite his age, he was in a very good physical condition,” she said, and added that her father had no major operations in recent months.
Medical researcher officials believe that the deceased actor died of serious heart conditions around 18 February, with the advanced disease of Alzheimer's as a 'significant' contributing factor.
Researchers believe that Hackman probably did not know that his wife had died and could not take care of the dogs.
