A former South Dakota TV News anchor was arrested after he reportedly took his girlfriend's throat and thrown her several times on the floor in a drunk anger.
The former local news anchor Shad Olson, 52, was accused of mistreatment of a non -mischievous woman in her house in Rapid City in February 2024.
Olson called his eight -year -old girlfriend a crazy b *** while he attacked her, according to the statement. The woman said she ran barefoot from the house and “thought she would die.”
'[Olson] Hearing her by her throat and said, “You let me do this” and kept her shaking while her feet were off the ground, “the explanation explained.
The report stated that Olson turned her over and picked her up and threw her [her] Five times on the floor.
According to the sworn explanation, the woman pays for everything in the house while [Olson] worries about the country. '
She claimed that Olson chased her and told her, “Not to ruin his reputation.”
The woman claimed that Olson was 'stressed' because of politics that 'drinks'.

She fled to a neighbor's house before a representative arrived, the statement said.
Olson was accused of serious attack stomach violence and was later released on a $ 5,000 bail.
In November last year, the indictment against Olson was rejected for an unknown reason.
He remained confronted with a crime charge for abuse -related violence and is planned to start on 5 June.
Olson was initially offered a plea, from which he later withdrew and instead chose a jury.
The news anchor started his journalistic career in 2000 as a news reporter for Kota Territory News in Rapid City.
In 2010 he was suspended after giving a speech during a 'tax day' rally from Citizens for Liberty, a chapter of the local tea party, the New York Post reported.
The movement released concern about his journalistic ethics and he finally resigned in May that same year.
Two years later he started working with KNBN Newcenter 1 before being replaced in 2017 in the Prime Slot of the station.
