The head of a blundering private boarding school that has been closed with just two days of cancellation has fled to Dubai – while parents are frantically looking for new schools for their children.
Executive teacher Jonathan Harrison and his wife, Lou, left on vacation, only a few hours after mothers and fathers received a confirmation of the closure of the Senior School.
Shocked parents, who paid up to £ 36,000 a year to send their children to Moorland School, in Clitheu, Lancs., Mr. Harrison have branded a 'coward'.
A parent said: 'The fact that he ran away, and nobody can contact him now shows the lack of integrity of Jonathan Harrison.
“He went on holiday to Dubai now.
'His actions speak so hard. He is a coward.
'If the reason that the school could not continue, was purely VAT and rising costs, the man would be on the front steps of the school and do everything possible to help parents find new schools for their children.
“He has caused many people a lot of heartache and he will never be responsible for his actions.”

She added: 'The children were denied primary education and needs.
'The school had a poor infrastructure because Harrison bullied and intimidated so many employees, who then left.
'It was a common event that I would arrive at the school and see employees in tears.
'The teachers who left were not replaced because nobody wanted to work there because Jonathan had the reputation to be a bully. He led the school like a dictatorship.
'The education standards then refused, so that parents started to withdraw their children and the number dropped.
'The school closure has nothing to do with imposing VAT, it is because of how bad he led the school.

Leonie, who had three daughters, said that she was initially impressed by the heathland, but 'cracks' soon started to show with the school that no longer had any paper and pens.
She said: 'The dream that the school was sold was great, and at first it was brilliant.
“The children loved it, we thought it was great – we were all happy.”
