The hunters, who had streamed the 'Angel' on Facebook, took the video down after he heard his death to 'grieve his family' but did not apologize.
“We have exposed a pedophile and transferred him to the police,” the group said. “We have no control over the choices he has made.”
After having warned the police about his alleged crimes, the self -proclaimed 'child protection services' later published photos of their target in handcuffs that were arrested by the police in his house.
Mr. Smith was in the hands of the police after the 'sting' by online searching before he was released on bail the next day pending further questions.
Only a few hours later around 6.40 pm he was found dead after he had fallen from height on the road and was hit by various vehicles north of Bristol, Avon Coroners' Court heard this week.
“Nobody here can believe what happened,” a local bartender told MailOnline. “He has children and such. People thought he was really a nice guy.
'He used to work at Suez Waste recycling factory near the Yate train station. He used to be easy to go up at work and everyone was really surprised to hear about his death. '
Some who know that Mr Smith also had other constant difficulties. They said he was suffering from a degenerative disease and that his 24-year-old marriage had ended.
“Everyone knew him, it's sad,” they said. We did not know that he was initially, but then it spread that he was who fell off the bridge.

“He had a kind of degenerative disease and the couple was splitting.
'He would move and live with a few friends, but for now they lived under the same roof. It's all such a shame. '

He was confronted with the camera in a public parking space by members of the group after he agreed to meet one that pretends to be like an adult woman.
Mr. Sherratt then saw the chat messages before he was arrested by the Staffordshire police about potential communication with a child.

After he was held at night, he was released, but his brother found him dead after an overdose of drugs on August 5, 2018.

“I sincerely doubt that suicide once crossed the spirit of Nigel until that day,” said Mrs. Thakker during the investigation.
'If it was not for the unjust actions, he would still live today. My brother took his own life because of a fight with this group.
'Soul Survivors played judge, jury and executioner on my brother that day. I know there was no evidence that my brother was guilty of what they accused him of. '
Michael Duff, 67, also took his life after he was confronted with pedophile hunters online.
He was interviewed by the police after images that would show him that he was trying to meet a 15-year-old for sex, was placed online by a pedophile civilian guard group known as 'True Justice'.

“It was on Facebook and I could already see that mutual friends had viewed it, so there was nothing I could do.”
After the allegations were made, Mrs. Henderson and her daughter did not spoke to Mr Duff.
She said she will never know the truth behind the claims, but afraid that the online groups hinder justice.

“We have been informed that Adrian Smith took his own life from chipping Sodbury after his release of the police station on Saturday evening,” the group said.
'We will now remove the live video from our page and ask that everyone can make his family mourn in a respectful way.
“We have uncovered a past and transferred him to the police, we have no control over the choices that made him.”
While many of the followers said that they had 'no sympathy for him' and at least he cannot 'turn' the thoughts for his family.
At the opening of Mr. Smith's investigation earlier this week, the officer of Coroner Alexis Camp said that he said he was being identified by his fingerprints.
She said that a post-mortem exam gave his death case as several injuries. Mrs. Camp added: “I understand that there are no worries.”
Statements are taken from Mr Smith's doctor, his family and witnesses, with a full post-mortem report drawn up for his full research hearing. Maria Voisin, senior coroner for Avon, for the time being, mentioned Mr Smith's investigation on 11 June.
