A 'sarcophagus' hidden more than 600 feet under the surface in Egypt is the newest discovery of the team that has discovered an 'vast city' under the Giza pyramids.
Italian researchers told DailyMail.com that they identified an unknown room under the grave of Osiris, which is assumed to be a symbolic cemetery dedicated to the Egyptian god of the hereafter.

Researchers told DailyMail.com that they have released the new image 'in response to worries about the effectiveness' of the technology used to identify a 'whole world of structures' that is more than 4000 feet under Khafre.
Niccole Ciccole, the spokesperson for the project, said: 'This presents the tomographic analysis of the grave of Osiris – an interior structure that is extensively documented – and describes how satellite radio artomography has successfully replicated its characteristics.
“The analysis extends to a depth of approximately 656 feet in this specific case.”
To perform the new analysis, the team used the same process as in their previous work that shafts and rooms discovered under the Khafre pyramid, with the help of synthetic aperture radar (SAR).
They sent high -frequency waves to the ground under the grave of Osiris.
When the waves hit underground structures, they bounced back and by analyzing how their frequencies changed, scientists could determine the type of materials present.

After collecting the data, researchers applied a specialized algorithm to convert the information into vertical images of the ground under the grave of Osiris.
