A sex offender looking for asylum in the UK was flown 5,000 miles by private jet for medical treatment in the middle -east at the expense of British taxpayers.
The clandestine operation to save the Sri Lankan came after he made an apparent suicide attempt on the Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean -which is Great -Britain in the process of controversial surrender to Mauritius.
The 34-year-old Tamil, who is being held on the secret military base of Diego Garcia, was flown to a country in the Middle East, where he received an emergency operation before he was returned to the Jet at a total costs for the taxpayer of almost ÂŁ 100,000.
British diplomats try to find a third country that is willing to take the man permanently to prevent the public protest from greeting his settlement in the UK.
The sex offender was part of a large group of Sri Lankans who fled their country in 2021 on a fishing vessel, in which the VK 61 accepted them.
The man, who says he is unable to return to his home country after he was reportedly tortured by the army of the country, was not included in the deal because of the six -month punishment he received for assault and sex attacks that was performed while he was in Diego Garcia.
The person, who has not been identified, tried to take his own life after losing an appeal from the Supreme Court against the decision of the Minister of the Interior Yvette Cooper to refuse him asylum.
Since the Chagos Islands are not under the jurisdiction of the European Convention on Human Rights or the Refugee Convention, the asylum seeker could not use them to appeal to Mrs. Cooper's decision to refuse his access to the UK, making the Supreme Court ruling that it was legal for the Foreign Country to allow an alternative of the input of the entrance to the entrance to the entrance to the entrance to the entrance to the entrance to the entrance to the entrance to the entrance to the entrance to the entrance to the input of the input.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in discussion with five states about the possibility that they will take the man. Mr. Justice Chamberlain accepted that the Tamil man had never had a legal right to enter the UK and that the risks for public safety and trust in the immigration system were 'real'.
He issued his judgment and stated: 'The admission of the plaintiff in these controversial circumstances would have a tendency to undermine the international dedication of the UK to tackle violence against women and girls.
'The task of evaluating the weight and the importance of avoiding these risks is initially declining for ministers, not for judges.
“Given the nature of the risks in question, the court must allow a broad margin for the democratically responsible ministers who, together with their officials, have implemented it.”
Ministers have negotiated with the Mauritian authorities to prevent the Chagos Islands from becoming a back door route to the UK.
A diplomatic source said: 'The public deserves to know about this ridiculous use of their money spending to giving private medical treatment of world class to sex offenders in Diego Garcia and they fly around with a private jet.
“Opening the issue of British sovereignty about the Chagos Islands has made it harder to deal with things like this.”
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “This government inherited a deeply disturbing situation that remained in the last government for years after the migrants at Diego Garcia.
'There are no commercial flights to the base, which means that medical evacuation requires fellow transport. We do not comment on specific cases. '
