The body of a former sergeant of the army was found after she fell with her dog in a river in Washington almost a week ago.
The body of Zulika Witron, 28, was found in the river after being seen by a burger who is flying a drone on Friday morning, said the Pierce County Sheriff department in a press release.
Witron had entered the river on Sunday and, according to deputy Carly Cappetto, about two miles were recovered.
She and her girlfriend had walked with two dogs before she and one of the dogs of the Fairfax bridge fell in the Mount Rainier National Park in Washington, the police said.
Witron collapsed in the Carbon River and her girlfriend “witnessed her in the heavy at the moment and tried to catch her before she was wiped away in the rapids.”
Her dog, who had fallen with her, was saved about a quarter of miles downstream and returned to Witron's girlfriend, the police said.

Witron's younger sister Kiara told Fox 13: “I told her that I love her, and I miss her, and I am sorry that this happened to her, but I promise to make her proud and I am wide to her.”

Kiara said that her sister served as an army medicine and wanted to help as many people as possible, including animals.
'As we saw, as my sister would give up her life for her dog, and she would have done this under any circumstance. So, as hurt as I am, I am not angry with her for this decision. '
While Kiara mourn the loss of her older sister, she said the search effort was heart -warming.
“I just couldn't be more grateful for everyone,” she said.
