A shooter is fleeing while two men fight for life in the hospital after a shooting in Surfers Paradise at the Gold Coast van Queensland in the early hours of Monday morning.
The victims, a 44-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious injuries where they remain in critical condition.
The 44-year-old man was found with cuts over his body, including his leg, back and neck, while the 21-year-old was discovered with a shot wound in his belly and groin.
The younger victim was also cut over his back.
Researchers who hunt the shooter say that he was known to the victims and was known to the police.
The 38-year-old suspect would have fled the scene in a white Mazda hatchback before the police arrived to give the two injured men first aid.
The police also found a firearm on the site and a large place of crime was explained.
The police of Gold Coast Police Peter Miles said the shooter remained loose and encouraged him to surrender.
