Nobody got out of the sentebal mess. Not the chairman with her claims of a good cause driven by bullying and hatred and not the managers who are hidden behind the anonymity to inform her.
However, who would have thought that the figure whose reputation would suffer the most would be Prince Harry?
It was his youthful passion and determination to build something that would make his deceased mother proud that Sentebale brought life to life for the first time.
Yesterday not only questions were asked about the future of the charity, but also about where this leaves Harry.
During the weekend a photo of Sentebale was created very differently than those intoxicating early days. In a series of interviews, the spicy chairman, Dr. Sophie Chandauka, how the rot started after Harry and his wife had left Great -Britain for the US after Megxit.
Sentebale lost both business sponsors and donors – and some Dr. Chandauka concerns, it was clear where the mistake was.
After taking over in July 2023, she carried out a revision of finances in the past seven years in which it was concluded that there was 'an important correlation' between the moment that the charity began to see a recession in commercial support and 'Prince Harry's departure from the VK itself'.
Attempts to tackle the problem had been fruitless, she said. When she tried to educate it, she was told: “It is an uncomfortable conversation to have Prince Harry in the room.”

Dr. Chandauka (third from the right) claimed that the brand of Sussexes had become 'toxic' (depicted on the Royal Salute Polo Challenge in Florida in April last year to raise money for Sentebale)

Prince Harry has long been involved in charity work
She claimed that the charity was present for too long and said: 'This is not how a well -run organization should work. There is a reason why you have time limits because people are starting to mark their own homework and turkeys not vote for Christmas. '
But in her escalating words, Dr. Chandauka the crisis in the heart of Sentebale – the malignant impact of Harry's reputation or, as she expressed it: “The number one risk for this organization was the toxicity of the brand of her main patron.”
Even the fact that the lawyer born in Zimbabwe was seen a controversial and sometimes division was a devastating indictment.
Nothing more reveals about this extraordinary state of affairs than the Saga about the Florida Polo Challenge in April last year when a fundraising was effectively hijacked by Harry for a Netflix documentary.
A rich family had provided facilities for the game that would raise the much needed money for the exhausted reserves of Sentebale. “Then, about a month before the event, Prince Harry called the team and said:” I do a Netflix show and I would like to take a camera crew with me so that I can record some images, “said Dr. Chandauka. There was an immediate crisis. The contract with the owner of the location had to change because it was now 'a commercial enterprise'. Such as Dr. Chandauka remembered: 'We couldn't afford it. So now we lost the location. '
After finding a new location, the organizers were told that the Duchess of Sussex, who had said she would not be present, had decided to attend.
Moreover, she would take her famous friend, tennis star Serena Williams.
This was what led to the chaos on stage when Meghan asked the charity boss to go aside for the presentation, a moment that was caught on the camera and became even more uncomfortable when Dr. Chandauka was obliged to dive under the trophy that was held by the prince and his wife.
What happened after was even more amazing. Harry asked Dr. Chandauka for a statement that Meghan supported during the episode, which had started to generate enormous interest. She refused and insisted that Meghan would not only increase the opportunities that Meghan would “get even worse,” but also because the charity could not be an extension of the Sussex brand.
With the advantage of retrospect, this seems to have activated the movement to remove the resignation of hair and Harry.

“Really, what Prince Harry wanted to do was to throw me out of the organization,” she claimed. 'And this continued for months with bullying, intimidation. I have documentation. “In her interview with Trevor Phillips from Sky News, she accused the prince of” let go of the Sussex machine on me “when he gave permission to release a statement that revealed that he had left the charity. This, she said, was “an example of intimidation and bullying on a scale.” It would be difficult to exaggerate how devastating these words will have been for a prince who has spent a large part of the past five years painting himself and Meghan as victims.
To be accused of the offenses they have leveled to others – with the Sussexes as the assumed victims – should certainly even give Harry Pause.
The prince will have to face a hard but inescapable question: is there a future for his kind of royal brand?
While Dr. Chandauka toured the TV stations, got another indigestible truth – at least indigestible for Harry – form: that is kind of 'white savior' – in love not only looks old -fashioned, but to be honest from the time.
This argument suggests that there is something to us about a charity devoted to the well -being of dirty black children supported by monied, privileged white people.
As a figure who helps Royals with their charity profiles, I told me: 'Glamorous, rich people on horseback who enjoy themselves while they are, it is no longer a good look to look good. Polo is elitist and the people who play are elitist. Whatever the cause, it looks old -fashioned. '
If this does not call alarm bells, that should. Three years ago, Prince William and Kate found themselves during a tour of the Caribbean in a Public Relations disaster after they were photographed with contact with Jamaican children who pushed their hands through a wire gate. Critics accused them of participating in a white-saviour parody. It wasn't the only misstep. Driving in an open-top country Rover to judge a military parade was an unfortunate memory of more respectful times. William made that journey promise to change things.
You wonder if Harry will have the means to realize that he must also change.

Despite all his noble virtues when he set up it in 2006, the circumstances around Sentebale have changed today. AIDS and HIV among young people were the central problems he wanted to tackle then. Nineteen years later, the work of Sentebale was shifted to poverty and other problems with climate.
Increased sensitivity about race has also played an important role in the way charities work. Comic Relief dumped his films from so -called white rescuers in the midst of research that showed that there was increasing resentment about such stereotypes.
For Harry this is an in -depth moment. Sentebale and the Invictus games for military veterans with disabled people are his most successful achievements – and the only residue of his former royal life. If Sentebale goes, he remains a meeting of his Invictus family every two years. How will he fill his empty days?
Reports on weekends suggested that he rarely leaves the marital mansion in Montecito, California. It was said that he miss family and friends, and insiders were quoted when they said he was not informed last week about the temporary admission of the king in the hospital because “the palace did not want to cause an unnecessary alarm.”
His old royal life has disappeared since Megxit. He has given up his status and military titles. Now his charity also seems to be withdrawing.
With her lifestyle shows and podcasts, Meghan is busier than ever. While his world contracts, Hare is expanding. I wonder how often Harry spends time on considering who is to blame?
