Whataburger has recruited former McDonald's Executive Todd Ewen to accelerate his continuous growth.
The American fast food chain confirmed that Ewen would take on the role as a senior vice president and chief development officer on 24 March.
“I look forward to helping the leadership team to reach the important growths they have described,” said Ewen.
Whataburger is supposed to be the Ewen born in the US, who has 20 years of experience to have poached his successful national expansion.
“We are planning to bring honey butter cookies and great hospitality this year for more than 24 million new customers,” said Whataburger Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Alexander Ivannikov.
“The deep understanding of Todd of Real Estate in the fast service restaurant industry will be an integral part to help Whataburger to carry out our growth strategy, to eat delicious food and bring a great experience for new markets and new fans.”
With this new role, Ewen goes from working with the largest hamburger chain in the world to the top 100 of the largest in the US.
The Golden Bogen only have 14,000 locations in the US, compared to just over 1,000 Whataburger restaurants.

The chain based in Texas is working on the five -year growth plan, which President and CEO Debbie Stroud confirmed that they judge 'every year'.
Stroud explained that the assessment helps them to decide where they can have the best impact.
Part of his strategy is to expand further and this year is planning to open restaurants in North Carolina.
“For North Carolina this year are the Charlotte and the surrounding areas this year, next year it will be Raleigh and surrounding areas,” Stroud told QSR.
The chain established in Texas has already been extended to six extra states, including Florida and Georgia.
It is also preparing to open another location in San Antonio, Texas, through a partnership with the travel stores of Love.
Whataburger has not unveiled its 2025 sales prospects, but it earned more than $ 4 billion in income last year.
Stroud noted that the company intends to expand to other states in the future, but that fans 'must stay informed'.

Ewen started his career as a commercial real estate officer at US Bank Corporation in 2000.
He was The regional real estate manager of McDonald's regional real estate in 2009 and became the development director in 2013.
