Police and emergency services are looking for a schoolgirl, 11, who reportedly fell into the River Theems.
The frightening event took place this afternoon near Woolwich, London in Barge House Causeway, which washed up a 'large -scale reaction'.
Coastal guards and paramedics belonged to those who were rushed to the scene together with several search and rescue teams.
The operation has also involved in the coast guard, Border Force vessels and a search and rescue helicopter, with a large presence still in place along the riverbank.
Authorities have used drones, boats and air support, although there is currently some confirmation of recovery.
The Metropolitan Police said: 'The police were called on Monday 31 March around 13: 15 hours for reports of an 11-year-old girl who had entered the River Theems near Barge House Causeway, E16.
'A large -scale response is underway, supported by all the emergency services, who work together to perform an extensive search in attempts to find her.
“Her close relatives have been informed and are supported by officers.”
