A stewardess has revealed the shocking reasons that you should never drink the coffee in an airplane.
Kevin, a stewardess for an American airline, shared Tiktok to warn passengers to prevent them from ordering the warm drink while it is on board, such as the way it is made can be extremely unsanitary.
It came as a reaction to a pilot who warned Flyers not to drink the coffee on board, because the water tanks are 'rarely or never cleaned'.
'They use this water to make coffee on board. I don't want to think of the fungus and bacteria that grow in those tanks, “the pilot added.
Kevin quickly agreed and stunning viewers when he destroyed the coffee hygiene processes and claimed that coffee pots are brought to the toilets to be emptied – and that the jugs 'come close to the toilet' and 'backplash' in the coffee maker.
He says: 'The fact that the tanks are rarely cleaned that the water is located must be the least of your care. For me it has always been the way stewardesses have to clean up coffee pots.
'For whatever reason we are not allowed to empty coffee pots in drains, we have to dump it on a toilet.
'So if you take a coffee pot and dump it in the toilet, not to make a huge mess everywhere where you have to get close to the toilet.

“So unless the airline that you are flying has an espresso maker on the plane, I would not get a regular drop of coffee.”
