Katie's ex-husband Kieran Hayler has been cleared by the police for accusations that he shared an explicit picture of a public woman.
Sources near the reality star, 37, have told MailOnline that he was 'relieved but frustrated' by the decision that took his personal devices and examined by researchers before he was finally released.
Hayler was arrested last August over claims that he had spread a shocking image over the woman.
But the Sussex police have now confirmed that they have not found any evidence that is linking him to the image, which means that he will not be charged about this issue.
A source said: 'It was a test time for Kieran because he invaded his privacy about the issue that caused intense stress and fear.
“He was angry about how he was subjected to such a control, even though he knew he was not doing anything wrong.
“But he has relieved that the test is over and he can just continue with his life.”

Hayler has been told that his devices will be returned to him in the coming weeks after they have been seized as part of the investigation.
Price was married to Hayler for eight years, but their relationship was affected by accusations of unfaithfulness.
In 2013 they married, before renewing their vows three years later in Barbados during a 'make or break' holiday.
Hayler is said to have cheated the prize with two of her friends, including her 20 year old friend, Jane Pountney, plus her closest employee Chrissy Thomas.
In August 2017, Price discovered that her Hayler had cheated her for the third time with their Nanny Nikki Brown, a year before he called the time on the relationship.
They are officially separated in 2011.
Last month Hayler suffered New Heart Sea after splitting with fiancé Michelle Penticost, 42, after seven years together.

The couple, which a son shares – Apollo Phoenix, three – remains on good conditions, according to the representatives of Hayler.
Penticost had its own legal dispute with the prize after taking a house ban against the former Loose Woman star after a school peel garden in 2019.
In June 2022, Price avoided prison after breaking the restraining order.
Hayler and Penticost admitted that they were 'incredibly disappointed' by the judgment at that time, after Price had admitted the infringement, when she sent an SMS to her ex-man Branding Penticost a 'Goot S ** G', before she walked free.
Price was contacted with Penticost for five years in June 2019 for five years, after he had thrown an error with an error 'Tirade of abuse' to her during a row in a school in a school playground.
The SMS message sent to Hayler was contrary to the order: 'Tell your C *** ING W *** E -piece of S ** T -friend not to start on me.
'She has a limiting order, so should not try to prevent me if she is in infringement and I am sure she doesn't want people to know that she had an affair with you behind my back. That gutter s ** g. '

Last September it was revealed that Hayler had landed a Tell-All Boekdeal in which he will reveal secrets about his marriage to the prize.
An insider told The Sun: 'Kieran has landed a huge book deal that will cover all his life, from the early years to his notorious marriage to Katie.
'This is Kieran's chance to stop the record immediately after so many years.
“It should not be a surprise that being married to Katie was sometimes chaotic, so he has many stories to tell.”
