A RAF trooper had so numb by 'incredibly noise' planes and machine gun fire that his friends and family accused him of being divided for a maximum of £ 100,000.
Alastair Bidwell, 55, served for 12 years in the RAF regiment – which is responsible for defending air bases, supporting special troops and offering forward air control and ground combat support.

Mr Bidwell, now a plaster and project manager, left the services in 2000, after years of training with 'incredibly noisy' planes and thousands of rounds.
De Trooper, from Trearddur Bay, Holyhead, Wales, used weapons ranging from infantry rider to heavy machine guns and missiles while they served in zones such as the jungles of South America, Bosnia and Kuwait.
Now the Gulf War veteran is now complaining to the Ministry of Defense (MOD) for tinnitus and hearing loss so bad “It seems that he ignores his family and friends when he can't hear them well.”
He claims to £ 100,000 compensation based on the fact that military leaders should have been aware of the need to limit exposure to noise, also by offering sufficient ear protection, and also have to give warnings about the potential dangers.
In judicial documents, his lawyer Rachit Buch said that the former RAF man was 'continuously exposed to dangerously high levels of noise' while serving the shooting reach or exercises, so that he was left behind 'permanent noise-induced hearing loss and Tinnitus' in the long term.

Mr Bidwell's exposure to extreme noise started shortly after he started basic training in Raf Swinderby, in Lincolnshire, when he reached training with an infantry SLR Assault Rifle, who shot around 80 laps a day.

In defense against the action, MOD -lawyers ask to remain the case, awaiting the outcome of a cluster of comparable 'test matters' with regard to deafness caused during the service, which will be heard later this year in the High Court.
