A new two-day justice row broke out last night when it turned out that the police were told to treat black-white suspects differently.
A report from police chefs stated that their dedication to 'racial fairness' did not mean 'treat everyone the same or color blind'.
Instead, they called for 'equality of police results' for different ethnic groups by ending racial inequality in the 'probability that people are criminalized'.
The 'anti-racism deployment' also stated that officers must now 'take cultural impact and community trauma into account when using their powers'.
Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick said that the proposal of the police chiefs was 'shameful', and added: “It is not only deeply unjust, it will also endanger the British public.”
But a work source said last night that there was nothing in the plan that suggests that the police should “give preferential treatment to black people compared to white people.”
It was after a leaked report revealed that suspects of ethnic minorities are given priority for judges considering bail, because they may have a 'disproportionately higher risk' to be detained in custody.

In the commons, Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp claimed that the new rules would mean that officers are trying to develop the same arrest and loading rates in various ethnic groups.
He said: “Has the Minister of the Interior seen the anti-racism obligation of the police … who says that the police do not have to treat everyone the same, regardless of the breed and to be designed to be artificial to be the same in racial groups?
“Do she agree that this dual approach to the police is completely unacceptable?”
At Yvette Cooper he insisted on setting an amendment of the Crime and Police Act to ignore the commitments set out by the National Police Chefs Council and the College of Policing Professional Body.
Mrs. Cooper said: 'The police must already take an oath about their impartiality and police without fear or favor. That is the responsibility of every police officer throughout the country. '
And she added that the government's row at the Sentreing Council demonstrated that it was “very clear that there was no preferential treatment for anyone in the criminal justice system.”
